Syracuse v. BC -- 4/22/22 @ 6:00 PM

Post by Seacoaster(1) »

Syracuse travels to Chestnut Hill for a Friday evening game to conclude the regular season in the ACC. ESPNU.

I'm doubtful Carney plays; keeping her under wraps until the big tournament? Should be a good game, but I see BC winning this one by 2 or 3.

I see BC playing like their hair is on fire and winning by a slightly wider margin (sorry SC), but Cuse’s resiliency is seemingly infinite so who knows

Yeah, understood. I see this as a mini-redemption game for BC to show that last weekend was a one-timer. Could be a tough night for the Orange. Just looking for (as Bart says on the UNC-Duke game thread) a good competitive game. And no injuries.

Rachael DeCecco doing color commentary, and Jay Alter for the play-by-play tonight. That’s an A-team right there.

We get to hear Jay loudly say “attack mode.”

Why do I get the feeling you’re doing the old reverse jinx mojo?

I hope you’re right but I’m not nearly as confident. I give Syracuse a very good chance in this game. They’ve got big offensive weapons and a lot of scrap. I don’t count them out of any game before the first draw. But what do I know.

Carney doesn’t look like she’s going to try anything crazy tonight. Just keeping it conservative. She looks like she’s running gingerly.

Carney on the field, but a limping Carney.
We'll see how that works out, tough to play
80 or so %.

Syracuse No. 8 is just not great carrying the ball. Shouldn’t there be more support off the draw??

If one goalie way out performs the other than that team will win

Not the first time cuse has had a shaky ball handler take the draw - I think 8 is a better ball carrier than Widener was
