I thought that it was pretty good. He identified a couple possible scenarios involving picks, discussed how to deal with them, follow up actions, etc. I thought that he was methodical, encouraging and positive. I can't remember if he was correct in guessing what Cornell was going to do though.

I thought it was a nice play by Kirst to draw that slide and then hockey assist the ball to Kelleher for the game winner.
Re: Potential New Top 20
The second timeout, he made sense, almost called out exactly what Cornell would do. The first timeout was confusing as could be "we want to roll them back but don't let them roll back"fsclax wrote: ↑Tue Apr 12, 2022 11:34 amI thought that it was pretty good. Can someone tell me if we have another of those ridiculous late Sunday night games tomorrow that prevents me from sending in my top 25 before sundown, or did the NCAA respect the holidays and not schedule a late game or any game tomorrow?

Re: Potential New Top 20
Rutgers' 2 losses are at #1 maryland and at #2 Princeton. Cornell got blown out by Army at Cornell yesterday and Rutgers beat Army early in the season. So, explain to me how Rutgers is behind Cornell and Yale at this point. I know the RPI is all that matters and the polls really are just for the fans. However, this is just stupid and this DOES affect the NCAA tourney seedings. If Rutgers lost by ONE goal to Army, they would not have been ranked anywhere in the top 15.

Re: Potential New Top 20
Thanks for doing the leg work, here, JW. I know that you have been a big believer in Brown all season and I get it that there are all sorts of overlapping wins and losses with common opponents at this point in the season, but I am struggling with how a 5-4 Penn team is ranked above 7-4 Brown when they lost to the Bears last weekend 12-10 in Philly. Penn has only two high quality wins (Duke & Cornell) while Brown has high quality recent wins over Penn and Yale. (I don't think that Penn's Harvard win is going to stand up as a high quality W.) For that matter, I am also not seeing 5-4 Notre Dame earning a spot above Brown. ND's wins are against 1-8 Detroit Mercy, 7-6 Michigan (losers of six straight), 4-8 Syracuse, 10-5 Duke and 4-8 Marquette. I have a little less of a gripe with 7-3 Yale being ranked seven spots above 7-4 Brown after having just been destroyed by the Bears 20-13, but there's a pretty good argument to be made that Brown deserves a higher ranking than the Elis.joewillie78 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 6:54 am My new Top 25.

Not trying to take pot shots at your poll since, unfortunately for Brown, it is likely to be close to the "real" polls this week. Just food for thought.

Brown is the hottest and playing the best Lax in the Ivies right now and their game against my beloved Big Red next Saturday will pretty much determine both teams fate nationally and in the ILT.
So many teams are so close that doing these rankings is brutal.

Feel free to leave the bears out of the top 20. They play better with a chip on their shoulders.

This is probably a typo, but Brown beat Yale, not the other way around. Just seems a little weird that Brown beat Penn and Yale in the past 8 days but is ranked below both of them.joewillie78 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 11:03 amCO, what makes it tough is the head to head where Yale beat Brown, but Cornell beat Yale, but Penn beat Cornell and on and on.Can Opener wrote: ↑Sun Apr 17, 2022 10:48 amThanks for doing the leg work, here, JW.
