UVA should be fine but injuries seem like they're starting to have an impact. Games against Quinnipiac, Cuse, and Lafayette aren't exactly a great way to prepare for the tournament.
They had three weeks off before their first game of the tournament last year and did okay.

Last year they did have 3 weeks off. But, the luster is missing right now. Crazy how a few weeks makes a difference. There isnt any mojo! Like none

They finished last season 1-2 in their last three regular season games with an overtime loss to Duke, a win over Utah and a loss to Syracuse. They probably think they can turn it on when they want.
Re: UVA at Duke 4/14 at 1
I don’t think there’s any question UVA gets the benefit of the doubt when it comes to May ball, but they were playing better this time last year compared to where they’re at right now and last year they were much healthier. They haven’t been right since that but loss to Maryland. Injuries are hurting but just don’t seem to be playing with a lot of energy and they def were playing that way before the Maryland game. No one will want to see them come the playoffs but I don’t think anyone should hand wave away the last month either

Watching the replay. Carc late in the first half: “If you play against Virginia, you CANNOT hand them 9 extra possessions in the first half. They will make you pay!”
Score at that point: Duke up 4-2.
Score at that point: Duke up 4-2.

Doesn’t Tillman do far more with far *advertised* less?
Top of my head #1 recruits:
Duke: O’Neill (#1 recruit), McAdory (#1 recruit),
UVA: Moore (#1 recruit), Shellenberger (#1 recruit)
UMD: ummmmmm?
NO . Tillman is a fine coach but lets not forget that he taps heavily into portal to add to good recruiting classes even if #1 isn't part of haul.
If you are picking a coach who does more with less, then look no further than your own nest with Toomey who extracts the most.

Inconsistent so far . Have both dominated and then played crappy . Moore being hobbled at times has hurt but larger issue is LaScalla has been runned into the ground and Jared Conners is missed . D looked porous today .A extended rest will do them well

Every season is new and different, as is every game. No single program is superior looking forward. Duke could stay hot. UVA could get healthy or continue to nosedive. ND could run the table or fall short by one goal per game. Maryland could get struck dead by complacency or injuries. Rutgers could reignite or blow up. Georgetown could catch fire or choke. Any Ivy could throw flames or flame out. You with me? Just enjoy the ride, it's a bunch of early 20 somethings playing the game they love.

UVA also has Griffen Schutz who is #1 for the freshman class. Maryland has never gotten a #1 recruit*, which is kind of amazing to think about, as good as Maryland has been traditionally and as good as Tillman is as a recruiter.Peter Brown wrote: ↑Wed Apr 13, 2022 7:05 pm

Forgot about Schutz. UVA/Lars really has had an embarrassment of riches. Ryan Conrad was #1 too.
Again, no dog in the hunt, and I’m aware Maryland gets it’s fair share of quality players, but Tillman doesn’t get the *incoming* classes of either Duke or UVA, and therefore seems to do more with less. I doubt Bernhardt was the top player in his year, coming out of Florida? Yet look what he did.

Am I missing something about the ACC, their best OC game was a win over now # 18 Denver. ACC teams have O wins against top ten OC teamsPeter Brown wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:28 amPulpExposure wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:26 amUVA also has Griffen Schutz who is #1 for the freshman class. Bernhardt was #3. UVA recruits slightly better than Maryland; but UVA-MD-Duke have generally been the best recruiting teams out there last 5-6 years and then ND and UNC not far behind.Peter Brown wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 8:28 amPulpExposure wrote: ↑Fri Apr 15, 2022 12:26 amUVA also has Griffen Schutz who is #1 for the freshman class.
