UVA just hasn't had much juice for awhile now. Even in their previous April losses when they won the title, usually were competitive in those games and still looked strong. But ever since losing that game to Maryland they just have been at half speed at best really and not played with a lot of energy. Even the ND/UNC wins, defense was great but relatively C+/B- performances for what they're capable of.

That's the version of Duke most expected to see prior to the season. We'll see if they can sustain it over the next month.

UVA should be fine but injuries seem like they're starting to have an impact. Games against Quinnipiac, Cuse, and Lafayette aren't exactly a great way to prepare for the tournament.

Carc also developed a really annoying habit of ending his sentences with "Right?". Pretty unprofessional for a professional TV announcer.

Thus was a rout from beginning to end, but 20 saves would have been enough to win this one even had it been somewhat competitive. Why let Nunes, who was having an off day, suffer until late in the fourth? Pull him and hope he recovers enough to win in May. If Cuse could hang with Cornell, they may be able to pull off what migunit be too big an upset.

They had three weeks off before their first game of the tournament last year and did okay.

I am sick of “right?”….it has entered the vernacular and I avoid using it professionally.
