FanLax Forum Poll
Re: FanLax Forum Poll
Thanks for the support. So far what the cost is about $5k less than what I paid for my first house. On the other hand, the tube in tonight’s Airbnb is much nicer than mine at home so I’ll get a nice view if the bball NC game.

Thanks for putting Princeton above Georgetown. Much better wins, including over Georgetown.

On the other hand, if they played again, I'd put my money on Gtown. D1s top defense. #8 offense. #2 overall adjusted efficiency per LaxRef. #4 Fogo. Top goal scorer in D1 (gpg). (Arguably) best defensemen. (Arguably) best goalie.
Re: FanLax Forum Poll
Disagree. Maybe someday we'll find out.
Georgetown's signature was over Penn...in Penn's first real game in two years.
Re: FanLax Forum Poll
According to the most recent (way too early) bracketology, Gtown and Princeton are #3 and #2, setting up potential final four semifinal showdown. Would love to see it!Gobigred wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 1:17 pmDisagree. Maybe someday we'll find out.

Re: FanLax Forum Poll
I think Jacksonville should get into the NCAA tourney even if they don't win the SoCon AQ, RPI be damned.

Re: FanLax Forum Poll
The "first real game" thing is a lame excuse. I've watched Penn play a number of times this year and the performance against Georgetown didn't look like an outlier to me. Plus they had a full preseason and looked perfectly in sync in their scrimmages.Gobigred wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 1:17 pmDisagree. Maybe someday we'll find out.

Georgetown's collection of wins is solid regardless of your attempts to downplay it. In addition to Penn, they've got ND, Richmond, Denver, Hopkins, and Lehigh; most of those wins are decent on their own, but as a collective that's a comprehensive resume IMO. And if you care about style points Georgetown cruised in almost all of them.
Re: FanLax Forum Poll
Princeton's wins are better and they beat Georgetown. Sorry you can't comprehend the difference between "solid" and better.

I don't disagree. I ranked Georgetown ahead of Princeton but on further reflection I would go back and flip them. Still think you're underselling Georgetown's accomplishments a bit-- particularly the consistency. Sure, since the Princeton loss (a game in which they played about as poorly as they could) they've played a number of good but not elite teams. But I think the way in which they've put all of them to the sword is impressive -- no hiccups or close calls like most of the other teams in the tier below Maryland.

Jax not getting in if they do not win conference. Big ten and ACC could be 2 bid conferences. Ivies, who I was not a fan of going in have been fantastic. Probably 4 bids. Tourney had one extra team this year.

How do you get access to making a poll every week? Is this something you have to get invited to on here?

Re: FanLax Forum Poll
For a while last night I was beginning to regret having sent in my poll Monday instead of waiting until Wednesday, but Cornell managed to solidify their high rank. Cuse almost crept back into the top 20.
