I think Levy has them as a well oiled machine . They will prob bring in an alumnus. But Dowd I’m sure was a difference maker . A coach with great skills.

Re: Extra year granted
All true about Bourque ... and IMHO she is a better player than Aldave. Stronger, faster, tougher. Contrary to the comment below, she is not a "big woman" , no where close to 5'10". Sure does play like it though. Alex Frank moved her to attack from midfield in 2020 and used her like Apuzzo at BC: RIDE, RIDE, RIDE. Still, it would not surprise me to see UNC use her to shore up the defense. She can play anywhere.
Re: Extra year granted
In high school, she played the backer in a backer zone and played it extremely well.

Does anyone know when this runs out or expires? Which year do things go back to what they were pre-pandemic?

It runs out with the current Junior class - kids that graduated high school in 2019. They were freshman the year the pandemic started.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 6:02 am Does anyone know when this runs out or expires? Which year do things go back to what they were pre-pandemic?

Thanks, dad. So which year will things be completely back to what they were? Relatively speaking, of course.Justalaxdad wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 7:32 amIt runs out with the current Junior class - kids that graduated high school in 2019. Re: Extra year granted
I think it could have a ripple effect that will last a few more years after the current junior class graduates (see: Sarah Jacques & Ashley Humphrey). The current juniors may be the ones granted an extra year due to COVID, but with so many more upperclassmen, more freshman & sophomores could end up not seeing the field at all meaning they would also keep that year and can use it if they elect to.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 8:54 amThanks, dad. Basically two more years after this year is when you’ll cease to have 5th year players due to the pandemic.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 8:54 amThanks, dad. Perhaps not as impactful, but you also have to include the 2020 high school grads who took a year off. Some very large freshman classes out there right now.

Unless they get a Med. Redshirt...a player who qualified for a covid year could play portions of 6 years...Justalaxdad wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 11:26 amBasically two more years after this year is when you’ll cease to have 5th year players due to the pandemic.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 8:54 amThanks, dad. This is fantastic, some of these girls will be able to bring their husbands and children to the games to watch them play.

Familiar with a player, a very good player, that is a true senior this year, was granted 2 years of extra eligibility (COVID year + an additional year) because her team played in a very limited number of games in 2021 due to their conference limitation in terms of ability to schedule games.Dr. Tact wrote: ↑Mon Apr 11, 2022 5:54 pmUnless they get a Med. Re: Extra year granted
This years Soph's are last of the early recruiting. Will that contribute to less roster jumping?
