Corrected above. Meant she is no longer a part of Stanford's lax program.
How did you confirm this? She is is still on the web site … ? Pretty odd to have this happen mid-season …
I wouldn’t go by a team’s website. Syracuse still showed Gary Gait as coach days? weeks? after Treanor had her introductory press conference.

Yeah. She's gone. Not going to get into specifics. In terms of if I confirmed this, girls that play in college all know girls at other colleges and the parents all know each other too........

Why discuss this in hushed tones? An assistant coach left her job. Yes, it's mid-season but, these things happen. This could be happening due to an infinite number of reasons so... Why assume there's something nefarious going on that we need to whisper about? I don't get it...

I have no idea what it’s about, but reading between the lines, I’m guessing it is something to be whispered about. At least that’s the impression I get from “none of our business“.

I dunno. This is a forum, a conduit for discussions. If people were wringing their hands and wishing evil on people I'd understand why a discussion of this ilk would be inappropriate. But, from what we know thus far, it just seems like a young woman left her lacrosse coaching job. But, again, I dunno. Figured it's at least ok to discuss why we can't discuss...

D1 WOMEN: Thus far this season, the biggest D1 Women’s upset occurred on Monday, March 14th when… Monmouth beat Harvard, 12-10. Disagree? Name one bigger…

I’d go to what 8mpa brought up a while back - Delaware over Temple was a big one too

Totally agree. The reason she is no longer coaching there may certainly be "none of our business", but the fact that a high level D1 assistant coach has left the team mid-season isn't some secret.

Also a good one. But less of a delta between the two teams in Delaware-Temple than Monmouth-Harvard. Still, a good one. Though... At least 2 better upsets before we even get to Delaware-Temple. :)
Old Dominion over Niagara, 18 - 17 on 03/18/2022.
La Salle over Mount St Mary's, 10-9 on 02/19/2022.

Fine. Then I'm going out on a limb (though it doesn't feel like a limb, feels more like I'm standing on solid ground). Megan Whittle is no longer the assistant Coach at Stanford.

Agree with reading between the lines. A mid-season departure of a coach from a high level D1 team usually suggests an issue of some sort - often meaning the decision is not mutual, which is what I understand to be the case here.

Good luck to her though if she continues in coaching and I’m sure she will have a great WC with England this summer!

There are some nice games this weekend (Fri through Sun) but none that are eye-popping or very highly anticipated. If there are upsets, that's another story but a fairly meh slate of games the next 3 days. The next "really big shoe" on my calendar is NC at Syracuse Saturday April 9th.

A couple of big games coming up this weekend. The most intriguing matchup is North Carolina at Syracuse. I think the Heels will cruise over Cuse (sorry, couldn't resist the rhyme) but it's still a very compelling game. Then Sunday Richmond at UMass. Honorable mention are UConn at Denver to bring the Huskies down to earth; Stanford vs Arizona St then USC. The marquee for me (doing it again, sorry) though is the 2pm nationally televised #1 Carolina at #4 Syracuse Saturday afternoon. BIG bucket of popcorn for that one!

If Penn State can’t get up for and win this game they should move to a weaker conference.

Hah! With all the talk about the weak conferences today, maybe they can come to the Patriot League. I know there is a team in Baltimore that would switch spots with them.
