Navy is bad on offense, I thought they were supposed to be talented on that end of the field?

Bucknell 4-0
Hopefully both teams are still undefeated when they play in 2 weeks
Each team won

Boston 4-0
Bucknell 5-0
Both team should be ranked this week. Looking forward to the head to head game on this coming Saturday 3-12
Bucknell first game playing someone with winning record, so will be a good test, BU looks like the team to beat
BU hasn’t played anyone yet. They won’t really be tested until their final 5 games of the regular season.

Maybe sort of true but they also may/probably have the best attack in the PL
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold

Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold

Also probably the best goalie. The middie Cates also playing like an AA.

They beat UMass.
UMass took Yale to OT, without UMass’ two best
attackmen.
I mean, there’s such a separation between the top 6-7
teams and the rest of the pack, you could make that
argument for just about any team,
ie, they haven’t played anyone.

What separation are you talking about?

Tough game for BU but was looking at their veteran (2 jrs and a Sr) and they’re up to 147pts (59, 37 & 51)! May have some depth or other weaknesses but that attack seems to have backfilled Chris Gray nicely.

Here is that stretch I was talking about for BU. Tough as heck schedule upcoming.

Yale goes on a 16-1 run in the middle of the game to thwack the terriers. BU outscored 11-1 in the 2nd Q alone.

Doesn’t get easier. Princeton up next.

I still like them against Loyola and Army unless things spin out if they get waxed by PTon and have a nasty slide from there but believe in Polley.

Navy’s not great but the way they eviscerated then last week has me believing they aren’t a paper Tiger like Mich.0

True, but I would not wager on it. I think BU goes 2/3 after the PU game.

Loyola is down this year, even with their 5th years
Lehigh just runs zone to compete and control bleeding
Army and BU could be a great game....both high motion offenses.
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

I think Loyola and maybe Lehigh are the games BU wins.

BU will be fine and still in great shape to compete for the PL championship. Yale was the first game without their best close D guy who got injured vs Navy and the defense looked out of sorts. Yale was certainly the better team but I haven't seen BU's defense that out of sorts all year. Better that BU figure it out against these two strong Ivy teams then trying to figure it out in the last 3 games which are all conference games.

So are you comparing a year in prep , that half the team are walk ons to fill the roster, to a full year of playing D1
who had a full year of d1?

Someone is I am assuming trying to say SA teams will be fine even know they have no fifth year guys returning because half their kids go to prep school, I am trying to say you can not compare a freshmen year on a D1 program to a year in prep school.
i think you mean you can't. have you sent any kids along to play at the academies? maybe you have.
it is my opinion that with a roster, up and down from freshmen to seniors, of guys that are a year more mature, a year bigger and stronger, a year more ready for their academy... that they are "as far" along as a team where several guys redshirt and several guys stay for a fifth year. or 4 1/2 year.
everybody's got opinions.
Some very good points, just saying take away fifth year guys from Loyola this year , they would not be favorite to win Patriot leauge, or be in top 10.
But they might be a better team with more wins. At least according to some Loyola posters here.

Loyola at Navy an interesting one to watch this week. Loyola has been out of sorts but they played a very hard schedule in the OOC...I would not sleep on the Hounds...not saying Loyola wins it but I’m not putting BU, Lehigh, and Army miles ahead of them...at all

IMO, any of those 4 are capable of getting hot the first week of May...to discount any one of them at this point would be foolish

Lots of lacrosse left and it’s gonna take a hot week and you’re in the NCAA
