Gutsy come from behind win for the Saints. George Acton is the engine of the team. G'town is getting a difference maker.

Some good games this week.

StP vs LB will tell us a lot about these teams. Lots of excitement about StP's fast start. Lots of consternation about LB's slow start. Are either ready for prime time?

Gilman vs BL/Spalding this week will also be interesting to see where Gilman is in it's development.

Tue:
St Paul's (6-2) @ Loyola Blakefield (3-4)
McDonogh (4-3) @ Severn (5-2)
John Carroll (3-4) @ Archbishop Spalding (5-2)
Gilman (5-3) @ Boys' Latin (6-1)
Mount St. Joseph (4-2) @ Calvert Hall (7-2)

Fri:
Loyola Blakefield @ McDonogh
St Mary's Annapolis @ Mount St. Joseph
Archbishop Spalding @ Gilman
Calvert Hall @ St Paul's
John Carroll @ Severn

Great highlights. St. Marys must be so glad he came back.

Nice to see a defender throw the classic over-the-head check. So important to keep your feet moving throughout the duration of the check. Defenders have been coached for way too long to sit on their hands.
Very few competitive games this week IMHO. LB, McD, AS,BL & CHC will all win by 5 goals or more on Tuesday.
Only competitive game on Friday appears to be LB vs McD, although Severn vs JC may be close.
Only the 2nd week but it appears that it is becoming a race for the top 6 seeds unless StP, Gil, or Sev decide otherwise.

Biggest story for Tuesday was BL possibly playing the best single game of lacrosse throughout this 2022 MIAA season.

I thought the Loyola comeback on StP in the 4th q was pretty big story. Dons trailed 6-4 to start the 4th. Won 11-7.

These teams are good. But they are 15-19 year old kids so you never know what you're gonna get on a daily basis. Gilman is a good team, but BL seems to be hitting their stride.

Lots of real big neighborhood rivalries coming next week. StM and Severn get tilts with public powers Broadneck and Severna Park. Gonna be huge games with huge crowds for local bragging rights. Should be some great lacrosse. Hope these are streamed online.

“Murderers Row” according to a former legendary coach. This league can rear it’s head anytime. Be ready to play every Tuesday and Friday or it will kick your arse. That’s why it’s the best!

It really is. Getting a few surprises each week. Good performances from a lot of teams, including the “underdogs”— MSJ and StP’s performance Friday. Severn, JC and STM last Friday.

Golini from St. Mary’s is on fire. Best attackmen in the league.
