The chosen one is untouchable. I’ve been saying for quite some time that all roads lead to Obama’s desk. Not many pieces of the puzzle remain to make that picture more clear for all to see. Only problem, some of the establishment R’s where in out it as well. They needed to make sure the new kid on the block knew who was in charge and that their club is not quite so embracing of outsiders.6ftstick wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 7:41 pmAnd the question no one asks. Trump fired Comey, the man investigating him. That's why Mueller arrived. A five year old understands this.
All Trump had to do was leave Comey alone to finish his investigation, and this would have been over more than a year ago.

Comey is the sole player in this drama who pissed off everybody. Comey should never have made the initial Clinton email announcement. He admitted to leaking, admitted to triggering the Special Counsel. Other Obama officials had their hand in the Clinton "matter" but in the spirit of not acting like socialists there will be no reprisals.a fan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 8:57 pmRight.get it to x wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 8:31 pm You have known for a while that this was the likely outcome and that's the best you can come up with? I think in a way Mueller was thinking like a patriot, in that if he hired liberal guns and they couldn't find anything then the American people would be at peace with the result.

I think that both Trump and Hillary put the nation, Comey, and Mueller between a rock and a hard place. And that both Comey and Mueller would have rather been doing a whole mess of things other than wasting their time with those two lying slimeballs.
We should be ashamed as a nation that we let either of them anywhere near the damn steering wheel.
THAT is the lesson here.

Easy to throw ol' Hil under the bus when it's already backed over her.

I threw Hillary under the bus, as you put it, as it was happening, on Laxpower. Her use of a private server was insane.
I was even more livid when Bill pulled that tarmac meeting---you'd find that if we had Laxpower archives. I would've been thrilled if they arrested him for that. That was banana Republic horsesh*t that demeaned our entire nation, and made our Federal laws look like a joke, so long as you had power.
And I praised Comey because he didn't have a right move with Hillary's case. So he cut the baby in half.
And then Karma endorsed Comey's choice to not indict, and we voted Hill off the island. The Republic won.
And Hillary did it to herself.

I don't think we're as far apart as you think. I think the most important line in Trump's victory speech was along the lines of "People want a government that will serve the people, and serve the people it will".a fan wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 9:33 pm I threw Hillary under the bus, as you put it, as it was happening, on Laxpower. As far as Comey goes, I get your sentiment and your willingness to forgive, but what he did was unconstitutional. It was the Assistant AG's decision whether to prosecute HRC or not.

Trump supporters right now:
Re: The Mueller Investigation
Comey had no power to keep the AG from doing that. All the FBI ever does is recommend. And that's what Comey did.get it to x wrote: ↑Fri Mar 22, 2019 9:56 pm As far as Comey goes, I get your sentiment and your willingness to forgive, but what he did was unconstitutional. My question with Comey choices back then, is the same as it is now: let's say they indict Hill. She gets killed in the election because she's under indictment.
And let's say that AG can't get a conviction because convicting a rich powerful person in America is really difficult.
Now what? You just had a politically appointed AG take out one of the people's choices for President over nothing. That's unacceptable.
So as I said, Comey was between a rock and a hard place. And in the end, Hill got her just desserts, and lost to Donald Freaking Trump. The Universe won.
If you hate Hillary, surely you understand that losing to Trump in the election was a fate far worse then probation or a few weeks in some glorified halfway home called prison. To my point, who's better off in life: Hillary, or Martha Stewart?
Easy, easy answer there, don't you think?

Just knowing that hours before Trump won she thought she had it in the bag is enough for my Teutonic Schadenfreude.

Re: The Mueller Investigation
Curious question because I honestly do not know. If a President can not be indicted (officially) can they be indicted (unofficially)....meaning, had they not been potus there would be an indictment, so the only legal recourse Mueller had was to make one sealed?
Hypothetical - the timeline proves Trump was guilty of something related to Russia "prior" to being elected POTUS, but now that he is POTUS he cannot officially be indicted, therefore it is a sealed indictment, that will not be revealed until he is no longer POTUS? or would they need to officially begin impeachment process?
A fraudulent intent, however carefully concealed at the outset, will generally, in the end, betray itself.

Re: The Mueller Investigation
Author Byron York correctly points out that Trump's son and son-in-law were not indicted by Mueller, as reports now say that there are not further Mueller indictments. Does _not_ mean that they are in the clear - investigations certainly could be ongoing by SDNY or other parts of Justice (perhaps a National Security investigation). Any further investigations would not necessarily be part of the report Mueller submitted that could be released.tech37 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 6:47 am "At this point, it is not possible to say what is in the report. His conclusion that the president did not interfere with the investigation is laughable - the president did fire Comey to get rid of the investigation. Barr noted that there were no overruling decisions from top Justice Department officials, which is not the same as saying the president did not interfere. It can only be concluded that the president's attempts at interference were not carried out.

Re: The Mueller Investigation
Let’s remember that the left assured us mueller was an honest man as well as a bulldog and would leave no stone unturned by the time he was done this investigation.
So now the left’s narrative will change.
Guessing Barr will be the bad guy now.
And we’ll see a strong push to remove the electoral college.
