Wednesday March 20
Adelphi (#1) hosting LIU Post (#5) --- Post already has the monster upset of the year over Mack - can they do it again?
Adelphi hangs on - but gave up a lot of penalties that Post made them pay for...Faceoff specialist for Post who was 33-36 against Mack near 50% in this one.
Friday March 22
Florida Southern (RV=receiving votes) hosting Belmont Abbey (#8) --- does FSC deserve a ranking?
The Abbey in a convincing win 14-9 off of a 4-0 second quarter. Liam Osborne with (7,1) for the Crusaders
Maryville (MO/#18) hosting Young Harris (RV) --- can YH get ranked just like Maryville (at _8-1_) just did?
Young Harris wins this one in OT 11-10 - handing the Saints their second loss on the year...
Saturday March 23
Merrimack (#6) hosting Le Moyne (#4) --- always a classic NE10 game, and the last time in regular season - and each team has an unexpected early loss
Huge fourth Q comeback for the Warriors
Mount Olive (#13) hosting Wingate (#15) --- a Conference Carolinas vs SAC showdown of near top teams from each conference
Another comeback on this Saturday for the Trojans
Lindenwood (#14) hosting Indianapolis (#9) --- Big GMAC contest
Indy controls this one

I don't see the Assumption/Mercy game on either of their schedules.
I'm interested to see how #8 Belmont Abbey does @ Lynn. Lynn is receiving votes. Game is scheduled for 6pm tonight

#9 UIndy travels to #14 Lindenwood on Sat 23rd.

Fixed it - the Assumption/Mercy game is on the NCAA website, but that is not always right in advance.
Re: Big games this week in Men's DII (19-24 March)
There is no Assumption / Mercy game. Was originally scheduled from the fall but Assumption didn't want to make the trip in the end.
Mercy plays Molloy this Saturday

Wednesday
SAC
LR at Queens (#10) - after taking it to Tusculum, is LR in the mix for the SAC? They have played a very tough schedule to this point.
Wingate (#15) at Catawba (RV) - should be a good one.

You forgot Emmanuel at Limestone! Do think Limestone will put 35 on them like Florida Southern? It’s a rhetorical question as I doubt Coach Clarke would ever do that. I’d say Stone scores no more than 23.
Re: Big games this week in Men's DII (19-24 March)
They did score 25 on Lees-McRae. BTW, I left them off the post because I didn't think it was a big game in the sense of national interest (unless of course a ginormous upset happens).Laxwarrior wrote: ↑Wed Mar 20, 2019 3:43 pm You forgot Emmanuel at Limestone! The real game tonight is the Panther-Pioneer one. Unfortunately for me, I cannot watch as I have an other commitment. But I'll make sure I have a tab open to the live stats for that one.

Queens beat Lenoir Rhyne 12-11 in OT. Queens score tying goal with 13 seconds remaining in game.
Re: Big games this week in Men's DII (19-24 March)
Another SAC surprise as Catawba runs away at the end and beats Wingate 13-9. And the big one was not a disappointment - got to see the last couple of minutes as Adelphi withstands a late charge from Post to take it by one.
Oh and Stone only scored 19 against Emmanuel.

Re: Big games this week in Men's DII (19-24 March)
Strong performance by Catawba, led from the outset. Wingate tied it at 9-9 late in the 3rd qtr, but Catawba was never behind. Defense held Bulldogs scoreless in the 4th qtr and offense produced.
LR had 1 goal lead over Queens with less then 1:00 min in regulation and had possession. Queens scored with less then :20 on the clock to force overtime and then went on to win. Tough loss for LR, with them looking like they can play with some top ranked teams, despite record.

Good win for the Abbey - 14-9 over FSC. Matchup of former teammates/coach (Chris Barrett's last year at Stone as student 2004, and then coached at Limestone 2005-2011 until taking the helm at Belmont Abbey, while Marty Ward played for the Saints 2004-2008).

UMO 11 vs Wingate 10 (OT) - Wingate totally dominated the game and were up 7-3 at the half. However, as the saying goes, you need to play a FULL 60 minutes. Simply, the Bulldogs lost this game in the final quarter and allowed UMO to score 6 unanswered goals including the GWG in OT. Character win for UMO coming from behind.

Merrimack, trailing 10-5 early in the 4th quarter takes a 12-11 victory over Le Moyne at home. Bertrand was 7,1. What a comeback.
