Come on, you consider Syracuse’s loss to ND and fortunate night??? Might want to go back and check that box scoreseacoaster wrote: ↑Mon Mar 07, 2022 9:13 am The distance between Nos. 1 and 2, and the rest of the known universe is at least oceanic, maybe intergalactic. Big. Wide. A lot.
1. BC -- Nothing to add here...except I'm starting to think that UNC has a pretty good shot.
2. UNC -- Nothing to add here...except I'm starting to think that UNC has a pretty good shot. Watched the first half of the NU game: never in doubt. The BC Clash is going to be an epic match.
3. Northwestern -- NU's record is, at this point, lost to UNC and BC, and beat everyone else so far. Have to leave them here for now. SBU on Wednesday.
4. Syracuse -- kept them at No. 4, and I guess I must be considering the Notre Dame loss an unfortunate night at the theatre with Mrs. Lincoln.
5. Loyola -- Nice W against We Are. Hounds stay where they were last week too.
6. Stony Brook -- you have to admit, Joe takes on whoever will play his kids. Travelled into the Gator's Mouth in Gainesville and hung on to win.
7. Maryland -- beat William & Mary, will crunch Villanova, and then square up against Rutgers. No reason at this point to move them up or down.
[From about here on I really have no idea how and where to rank the rest of the teams.]
8. Princeton -- not impressed by the outing with Cornell (although I agree with ONW that when the high SAT scores square off, it's hard to figure), but keeping them here until further movement by another team or a stumble by the Tigers.
9. Rutgers -- crushed Nova. So...what? Thought about switching Michigan and Rutgers, and have a feeling Michigan might be better. Good midweek game against a well-coached Temple team.
10. Michigan -- Wolves are 7-0, having played one team (no offense!!) of any consequence: Notre Dame. I think they're good. I just need a little more data. Denver game this Sunday should be telling.
11. Notre Dame -- whether we like it or not, they are a pretty good team.
12. Denver -- may be better than Notre Dame. Gonna find out in six days.
13. Duke -- I have to admit that I was impressed by their speed and ball movement. Defense needs some discipline.
14. UVA -- Lost to the Domers. Mid-week game against Richmond followed by Saturday game against Cuse, both at Klockner. Is the Richmond game a must win for this season? Think so...
15. Florida -- impressed by the comeback against SBU, and actually think they have some terrific athletes. The foul by Heller at the end of the SBU game was really unnecessary, unreasonable and vicious. You have to discipline your team against doing that sort of stuff.
16. JHU -- beat Georgetown and Drexel pretty handily (although I didn't see the games).
17. JMU.
18. Richmond.
19. Temple.
20. Colorado.
