He averages a point a game as a second middie/part time dm. I guess Hopkins didn’t get more out of him because they had such a surplus of fast, athletic middies!
What IS the point of being fast, if coach is always waving you into the pit stop during a fast break....you know, making the game about coaching, instead of actually doing it. Even, just the mindset, that coach is gonna get mad if I miss that fast break opportunity, IS enough to sow doubt. Hurting a players confidence, ever so slightly.
offensively, if you ain't confident, there IS a reason for it. Especially at the level Hopkins sells itself. Often times, player is the cause (out of shape, failure to develop shot.....
Coach Tiffany, is a student of the "coach confidence first" methods. For others to judge their own programs coaching staff.
Fast offense isn't the "only" gimmick Lars picked up from Coach Daly
Not sure 100% what you are saying with this post? JHU coaching is not great?????
This is real stat, used by real lacrosse coaches.
the assist to turnover ratio shortned to "az hat"....a reflection that certain players don't know how to cradle under pressure....or pass poorly. Ya know, stick skills.
Zinn's rookie year, 2019, his "az hat " rating was ZERO. which is OK. Not great, but ok. Especially for rookie.
Last "covid season" ? Zinn's "az hat" rating was MINUS ten.......NOT ok. Horrible. way worse than his rookie year? Player......or lack of instruction?
Hopkins has a scoring problem.......a SHOOTING problem.....5 games in and Blue Jays are ranked 40th in shooting %.
Zinn went from not great shooting % rookie year (.179 ) to backup FOGO status, learning from the coaching staff to bolster his shooting percentage numbers, to , essentially, 8%.
His confidence, and hence positive, produtive numbers/stats, improved, or declined, during his 2 years with Petro, 1 with PM.
It must be the poor goaltending. When you're scoring
much in PRACTICE......
someone please tell Kirson that "angle cut off" is ancient, silly thinking. Do soccer goalies, during a penalty shot, attack sideways, or do they try to "cut off the angle". Dude.....keep at least ONE foot on the goal line. Yes, way better to JUMP in the air, leaving the net wide open.
at least the Blue Jays are well stretched.........spending (wasting) 1/3 of practice time on yoga class
