Can’t hurt to be thorough. You see it in basketball all the time. I always thought the game flow of both sports was similar.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 6:47 pm I don’t get the immediate time out. Didn’t you just spend the break talking about what you would do if you got the ball?

nonsense game. So many bad mistakes by cuse at the end once again… but the refs definitely didn’t do them any favors either. Should’ve been a yellow card on Gilbert for hitting goodale. NU has a history of lucking out against SU.

The absolute LAST player you want put on the eight for the game if you’re the opponent.

Where was the foul? Did she even have the ball when they called the foul?OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 6:51 pm The absolute LAST player you want put on the eight for the game if you’re the opponent.

What a chaotic mess of a game.

Super ironic as KAH made a killing off of her team committing 3 seconds during the dynasty.

I went back to the play. You're right, the pass was fine. 35 muffed the catch. She got caught between lefty/righty head position or whatever, and flat out booted the pass. On the replay, I also noticed Emma throwing a subtle hip check which didn't get by the ref. She was ultimately responsible for the turnover.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 6:39 pmNot surehanded at the end of the game. Can't have that.seacoaster wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 6:31 pmI thought 35 just dropped the pass.OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 6:29 pm Tyrrell way too casual on that pass during this stage of the game.

Rules are the rules but I got to agree. Kind of an anti-climatic way to end.

Has to be considered for one of the best games of the year.
If I am scouting either of these teams, I am uncertain about what to focus on. Both teams showed why they are top teams, both showed flaws.

The number of fouls was absurd
And Cuse did not do as well on the draw this game.

Agreed; and the call was one that a seasoned official wouldn't have made at that juncture of that kind of game. Too bad.
These are two teams that need to improve markedly in certain areas to play deep into May. Syracuse: team defense and goalkeeping. SU's offense is fine, and the third quarter was as nice a display of ball movement and in-synch offense as I've seen this year. Northwestern: defense, offense, poor play on routine matters. NU has a decent goalie, and that and draws really may have been the difference tonight.
Re: Syracuse v. Northwestern 3/1/2022 @ 4:00
Neither goalies looks good. def draw played a part. FG worked except they should have made in game adjustment to EH. that last FP was silly ....but Cuse should not have let game get out of hand. They had the win.
NU plays UNC Sunday. Gotta think they will def FG.

I think if you are playing Syracuse (and you're not BC or UNC), you'll need to score over 15 goals to have a chance.
Re: Syracuse v. Northwestern 3/1/2022 @ 4:00
I think there are some defenses out there that can limit Cuse to under 15. But you make a valid point.seacoaster wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 7:23 pmI think if you are playing Syracuse (and you're not BC or UNC), you'll need to score over 15 goals to have a chance.

I tried to account for the two that I think, today, can do that.Dr. Tact wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 7:26 pmI think there are some defenses out there that can limit Cuse to under 15.
