Re: Potential New Top 20
HGK, I get it but I just feel that the HEELS are still one of the 10 best teams in the country, and the huge EGG they just laid is merely an anomaly and not the norm.HGK25 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 8:04 pmTons of respect JW78 but how can OSU be 4 slots behind UNC?joewillie78 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 6:57 pm Here's mine:

Frankly I thought you would be more concerned with my ranking of my beloved alma mater 9th.

I like Hobarts placement being biased but Brown kind of sticks out to me. Maybe Yale too.
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Princeton is very underrated and better than several teams on that list.

Georgetown plays Princeton Saturday. I am sure Warne and Hoyas would agree with you.another fan wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 5:55 pm Princeton is very underrated and better than several teams on that list.

Brown has played every opponent tough, and I had Vermont at 15 when they beat them. Brown is sneaky good and should scare any opponent. Yale was 6th last week so that was a pretty big drop, and if they continue like they played against Penn state, they will continue to drop. Your Statesmen will be a great test for my beloved Big red Tuesday night. Can't wait.Farfromgeneva wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 5:37 pm I like Hobarts placement being biased but Brown kind of sticks out to me. Maybe Yale too.

Good point. They were in a toss up with Bucknell and Denver.

Re: Potential New Top 20
I’d have Princeton above Brown personally. Now that I look at it, seems tough to have UNC above OSU right now. Hop win is nice but that head to head.joewillie78 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 6:51 pmBrown has played every opponent tough, and I had Vermont at 15 when they beat them. Re: Potential New Top 20
I flipped MD and GT this week. GT has the 3 best wins of the season, so they deserve #1.

Brown played UNC tougher than Hopkins despite running into Tucci’s best FO performance of the year. The last time Brown played JHU head-to-head the Bears prevailed 17-8. The mystique of Hopkins in the polls continues. For that matter, Brown is 6-1 against Princeton since 2014, but gets ranked lower every year. Brown deserves to be in the top 20 this week.

Re: Potential New Top 20
Really?
How better than UMD and UVA? Or even OSU?
I'd have GT above Rutgers, but only a smidgen.
Really doesn't matter in the slightest as this will get all the more interesting over the next month. We're still in February!
That said, it's fun to have GT in the conversation...the challenge for them, as usual, will be SoS.
But they have some excellent horses, so it's very possible we could see them break all the way through.

Re: Potential New Top 20
Win over Quinny and a 1-3 UVM? High Points resume is as good as that with a 1 goal loss to UVA w Wins over Gate and at Navy. Boston U, Bucknell, Stonybrook have better wins and UNC is good but got emasculated by OSU a week ago. OSU had a far harder time with Harvard than UNC let’s not forget.

Re: Potential New Top 20
Blasted Hop followed up w wins over Penn and Notre Dame is the best resume in this early part of the season. Folks started GT in top 6 so it’s not like a few years back when UVM or Rutgers skyrocketed up the pills on early wins people thought were strong only to fall off completely later on. Penn just beat Duke. No idea how good ND is most still expect them to be top 10.MDlaxfan76 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 7:49 pmReally?

MDs resume is good so far same as UVA but the data of the opponents skews towards GT right now. With Denver looking like a 25-40th quality team and Nova not sure, the rest of the Big East looks suspect you pretty much almost expect them to run the table at this point but will that be better than a 1-2 loss MD or UVA at year end? Probably not unless ND/Penn end up either or both in top 5.

Out of curiosity, what’s the case for Cornell? Who is back from 2020 and who is gone? I have been wondering about them. I like Lombardi and Piatelli and the chippy defender.joewillie78 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 6:57 pm Here's mine:
