Any surprise absences ?
Happy for Liz Hogan to get her shot in goal, I don't believe she'a ever made the final cut- correct me if wrong.
LarryGamLax what do you think of Watters and Hogan's technique skill ? Genuine question.

I always thought Liz had great talent, but she tries to be flashy and does NOT make the routine saves enough. She had one season at Syracuse where she was outstanding, but mediocre the other three.
Not much of a Waters fan. Talented, but inconsistent. In many eyes she had a successful collegiate career, but I never thought the HS hype(Best HS Goalie in the country) was matched in college.

I would take Taylor Moreno and Sarah Reznick.

My opinion and I know nothing...right?

So are you suprised
No Moreno …or do you think the fact UNC has 6 players On team a deterant to add more?

Honestly, and not to sound dismissive, I really have very little interest in the Women's US team. I lost my taste and interest a long time ago. There are reasons behind those feelings of disinterest, but they are not worth discussing on the Forum.

Nice to hear from you Larry. I actually share your feelings about having less interest in the women's national team, although I don't think the reasons are the same. My lack of interest is more to do with USA's lack of competition. I was at the game in Annapolis in 2005 when they lost to Australia 14-7, but they haven't seen a lot of serious competition in the past decade.

This post on “my daughter” didn’t age well.
I must confess I was also waiting for this (in the end anticlimactic) announcement to put paid once and for all the Charlotte North debate. JB was/is very knowledgeable about women’s lacrosse, particularly in the high school ranks by his own admission; but no one’s right about everything. As ol’ Elston Gunnn once affirmed:

“Half the people can be part right all of the time;
And some of the people can be all right part of the time;
But all the people can’t be all right all of the time.
I think Abraham Lincoln said that.”

Def a little politics involved . I don’t see a lot of chemistry on attacking unit to be honest . Having watched most of the training team games seems like each player on attack (with the exception of Appuzzo) doing highlight reels . Ohlmiller didn’t seem to contribute much IMO . But that’s what USA wants flashy plus And goals. They are going to crush each team where running clock will be the norm. It’s a shame even Canada can’t give them competition .

You’re serious with that post? C’mon. Like it or not, and you obviously don’t like it, CN is the face of women’s lacrosse right now. There was no way she wasn’t going to be on the team.

Welcome Back, njbill! Wow! Very nice surprise on this snowy Friday in Beantown.

I will say however, I’m not really in the mood to fight. It’s much more enjoyable to get along with people.

I am very glad to see your name show up again though. In spite of our differences in the past, I missed you being on the forum.
