If north & co get rolling on draw they will I’m sure !wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 1:40 pmDefinitely early...I feel like I'm constantly holding my breath waiting for BC to go on a runLaxfan500 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 1:38 pmFor now BC looks beatable on draw and in goal. Too early to say anything more . But they do look vulnerable. And dare I say…human.seacoaster wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 1:35 pmYeah, BC is really slow to slide, and UVA middies are having some success 1v1. Going to be I terrifying to see if AWW asks them to help more and earlier. Nice quarter for UVA.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 1:32 pmI was just responding to your post about BC's smothering defense when they made the adjustments and promptly deleted it. I like the adjustments as well, but I think UVA's going to need a full, disciplined 60mins to keep this competitive.seacoaster wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 1:22 pm Myers must be telling them to look for early offense and slow break. Good adjustments for UVA so far.
I could be seeing this wrong, but where is the second & third slide for BC??

Re: Virginia
Gotta hand it to UVA so far. Early offense is working for them, and they are succeeding in 7v7. BC with some work ahead of them.

I would’ve lost a lot of money on a bet that UVA would be ahead at the half…and had 10 goals.

Yes, and as someone who's been admittedly critical of UVA in the past, I very much enjoyed this half. Cavs looked gritty & tough, made timely adjustments, and appeared disciplined. I only mention it because I know in the past you've posted about not seeing much of that (grit and toughness) out of the Cavs, and I agreed with what you had said at the time.Dr. Tact wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:11 pmWow, was driving to Balmer... I don't think BC played their best 30 minutes ever, but they didn't play terribly either. We'll see what adjustments were made at the half..

Yep--barely veiled disinterest. She could be devastating with her athleticism if she put in the effort and used some of the keys on the ride that asst coach Apuzzo could teach her.
(Somewhere--Jersey Bill just stood up and cheered.)

Re: Virginia
BC grinding Cavs down with their execution. Tiring them out.
Re: Virginia
Unfortunately uva falling apart . Only thing keeping them in game is winning draw and halls average play.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:17 pmYes, and as someone who's been admittedly critical of UVA in the past, I very much enjoyed this half. Seemed to me that BC just played better defense in the third quarter, and converted their chances.
Why not have someone other than North take the draws??

Re: Virginia
Definitely not the quarter UVA wanted. I was really referring specifically to the first 30 mins in my description above. Hopefully they can keep it close in the 4th, but Caskin leaving the field assisted definitely doesn't helpLaxfan500 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:45 pmUnfortunately uva falling apart . Re: Virginia
BC obv will win this but they also showed some vulnerable areas . Draw circle and Goalie. Prob underestimated UVA.Laxfan500 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 23, 2022 2:54 pmGasp! What ?! You do wonder why they never try someone else on draw . Just makes sense to try a different look.
Re: Virginia
Why are they picking up BC so far out on the break? Easy picken
Re: Virginia
UVA's transition defense has been absolutely atrocious. It feels like BC has gotten at least half of their goals off of fast breaks.
Re: Virginia
BC has a draw specialist arriving next fall. High school teamate of #20 Davis. Hasn't M Hasselbeck taken some draws this season ?
Re: Virginia
Honestly probably just an off day for North on draw. Their draw circle wasn't dominant either. They do seem to get a lot of calls tho on offence
