Orange are going to need a lot of goals.
Just like that last goal scored- she didn't even react to the shot.
Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome

That was an entertaining quarter of lacrosse
Re: Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome
I highly disagree. The shots Stony Brook have gotten in the 3rd quarter were way less contested overall than the shots they had in the 1st and 2nd quarters.Bart wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 5:35 pmOther than the 8m the same holes have been there all night. I admit Hower probably should've had that last one. Obviously neither goalie is lighting it up by any means.Bart wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 5:53 pmWe will disagree then. Re: Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome
This Stony Brook team is raw. They certainly don’t lack the gumption to try these daring offensive plays but they are a ways away from getting the execution down. They force it too often.

Emily must realise its not her team anymore its the Meg show. And damn if she doesn't bull all over the place. every game....OuttaNowhereWregget wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 5:42 pm Is it too early to say the offensive leadership for the Orange has shifted very comfortably/naturally onto Meaghan Tyrrell’s shoulders?

WOW! That sure doesn't happen everyday! First time for me--I got my hand raised.
Anyone else ever see an illegal stick take a goal off the board? In a big game?

Lot to unpack from this game....Syracuse has issues with Goalies, and D def needs work. Not too high on draw girl either. Obv offensively they are strong.
SB undisciplined...maybe because first game. Although they always play rough. They have a very good goalie but not a ton of offence. They will be fine in their conference. The SB-Princeton game should be a good one.

Re: Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome
Cuse needs to shoot way better. They had 8 more shots on goal than Stony Brook did; shouldn't have been that close.
Re: Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome
I am thinking there is hope for other top 10 teams... Not sure that either if these teams are unc/bc level.

interesting result of no pre-game stick check. Although of course it sometimes happens despite the stick check.wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 20, 2022 6:26 pmYes and at all levels. I also do not like the new off-setting draw control rule.
Re: Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome
Exciting game but the play was extremely sloppy and undisciplined. So many mistakes, turnovers and YC's. I'm still waiting to see the Cuse team from last year. Their defense is awful and goalie play shaky.
Re: Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome
Hard to disagree. BC seems to be the only top 4 team playing like it's mid-season. UNC and SYR have enough talent, but still a ways off from being completely in sync. Don't forget last season unc destroyed BC 21-9 early in the year and then we know how it ended.

not sure you watched that game but it was 14-8 UNC in the 4th. Florida scored some garbage time goals. Hardly troubled UNC.
Re: Cuse v Stony Brook, 1600 hrs in the Dome
Their offense from last year still hasn't arrived yet either. I was also very surprised Stony Brook competed on the draw in the manner they did. Definitely not a fan of the alternating possession, "jump ball" rule if the ball doesn't go up the way it's supposed to. I definitely think Stony Brook benefitted from this rule change.
