Orange are going to need a lot of goals.
Not sure why Treanor so in love with Switzer in Goal. Dont see it. Unless shes the best of the bunch?
I think Hower has clearly shown more than Sweitzer at this point. I also don't understand why Savannah Sweitzer is getting as much playing time as she is either.

Just like that last goal scored- she didn't even react to the shot.
Stickin' to your guns here?
Absolutely. The Cuse defense is now allowing wide open cuts and point blank shots. The types of shots Stony Brook is getting are vastly more difficult to save than what Sweitzer faced in the first half.
Other than the 8m the same holes have been there all night. Same shots
SB shooting themselves in foot with TO. 14 - 7 turnovers cant win that way

I highly disagree. The shots Stony Brook have gotten in the 3rd quarter were way less contested overall than the shots they had in the 1st and 2nd quarters.

I admit Hower probably should've had that last one. Obviously neither goalie is lighting it up by any means.

This Stony Brook team is raw. They certainly don’t lack the gumption to try these daring offensive plays but they are a ways away from getting the execution down. They force it too often.

WOW! That sure doesn't happen everyday! First time for me--I got my hand raised.

Anyone else ever see an illegal stick take a goal off the board? In a big game?

yes , many times

Lot to unpack from this game....Syracuse has issues with Goalies, and D def needs work. Not too high on draw girl either. Obv offensively they are strong.
SB undisciplined...maybe because first game. Although they always play rough. They have a very good goalie but not a ton of offence. They will be fine in their conference. The SB-Princeton game should be a good one.

Cuse needs to shoot way better. They had 8 more shots on goal than Stony Brook did; shouldn't have been that close.

I am thinking there is hope for other top 10 teams... Not sure that either if these teams are unc/bc level.

Yes and at all levels. One reason why it's never going to go away

interesting result of no pre-game stick check. Although of course it sometimes happens despite the stick check.
I also do not like the new off-setting draw control rule.

Exciting game but the play was extremely sloppy and undisciplined. So many mistakes, turnovers and YC's. I'm still waiting to see the Cuse team from last year. Their defense is awful and goalie play shaky.

Hard to disagree. BC seems to be the only top 4 team playing like it's mid-season. UNC and SYR have enough talent, but still a ways off from being completely in sync. Don't forget last season unc destroyed BC 21-9 early in the year and then we know how it ended.

not sure you watched that game but it was 14-8 UNC in the 4th. Florida scored some garbage time goals. Hardly troubled UNC.

Their offense from last year still hasn't arrived yet either. I was also very surprised Stony Brook competed on the draw in the manner they did. Definitely not a fan of the alternating possession, "jump ball" rule if the ball doesn't go up the way it's supposed to. I definitely think Stony Brook benefitted from this rule change.
