More poor transition D. And Kirson constantly dropping the head of his stick is going to make my head explode.

That last goal was shoulder high to goalie stick high. Why is Kirson lunging down to one knee? Is he guessing (badly)?

Poor shooting, particularly considering their goalie is in his first college game. Just get the damned ball on cage.

yeah, he caught that last shot, but from the angle, it looked like it would have been wide and not a SOG.

He drops his stick head whenever the shooter drops theirs. Just a bad habit.

Don't want to be too hard on him though. Clearly playing his best game in his time here.

Dunn is the season MVP so far.

Good ball movement on offense.

6-6

Kirson serving fresh crow to his haters.
Dunn dealing.
No mcdermott or grimes. Maybe a corona thing.

Really cleaned things up in the last few minutes.

Smith's penalty was not good but I'm pretty impressed with the job he's doing on Olmstead. Not an easy assignment for your first game starting at close.

Sorry to have so many key guys out, but nice to see a lot of different guys out there getting run, and several (Raposo, Rodgers, Evans, others) acquiiting themselves well.

Kirson with some very good saves (7 saves on 13 SOGs).

Loyola has 9 caused turnovers (Blue Jays have turned the ball over 13 times total). Just the first half.

I’ve been saying it for a decade now … Loyola plays lacrosse the way lacrosse should be played. I love watching Loyola play.

Why can’t Hopkins play that way?

I am concerned the team is down three starters? COVID? Hurt by playing two games in three days?

A third attackman is necessary.

That’s one good half for Kirson. I hope he does well, but one good half doesn’t make up for his performance to date.

Whatever the reason, that’s why the Blue Jays’ new depth is so important.

Matt Dwan is the best defensive coordinator in lacrosse.
