I know (and said) that NYS is much tougher in these areas than many of its neighbors. That's the point of my sarcasm about the states (yes, red states) that take the position that gun shows shouldn't be regulated. Perhaps my sarcasm about this was missed in translation. I'm not usually sarcastic, so I can see how that was missed.

That's why federal legislation is needed.

Yes, I want to stop unregulated, unregistered guns coming into NY, just as I want them stopped from coming into Maryland or anywhere else.
