My vote for Time Person of the Year is : "some guy on the internet". Oh, the amazing leaps forward that guy has brought to our shores!!
Would that "guy on the internet" by our childrens teacher. Online. on the internet.

afan....think you need a new "tagline", as MILLIONS of children, and for that matter, adult workers, use "some guy on the internet" to get their educations.... you do realize this, yes?

This ‘guy on the Internet’ has helped millions of kids all over the world, and even adults, learn thousands of subjects, free of charge even, and it all started with one innocuous video…oddly he wasn’t at trained educator, just a hedge fund analyst :

https://www.khanacademy.org/about

Sal Khan started Khan Academy in 2005 to help his cousins (and soon other people's cousins). In addition to setting the vision and direction for Khan Academy, he still makes a lot of videos (although he's not the only one anymore).

Sal holds three degrees from MIT and an MBA from Harvard.
So now both of you are playing dumb, pretending that gee, you just don’t know what I mean here.

Neat.
   totally predicted this exact response from you......

Seriously, have zero idea what you mean, when it comes to " a guy on the internet" At least you narrowed it down to a certain sex. Bamm, tho.....I did it again. assumed "gender", either on your part, or the general tone; narrative, part. I apologize for assuming "guy" meant "male".
carry on.......why don't you just name names, b/c, really, have zero clue.

But, I did predict your response......... ;)

yeah, it's always our fault we don't understand....always. oh, btw, we all gleefully await your contesting the Biden centrists posts, positive ones. You only seem to reply to certain "types" ?

I am not sure having kids wear masks is doing much to help stem the covid tide. Do you believe wearing a mask to school has adversely impacted their ability to speak like EinsteinAthletic?

ok. to be more clear on your specific question, i've never measured the adverse impact of masks on the ability of kids of any age to speak like einsteinathletic. i don't even know what einsteinathletic is.

my original answer was... related. if discarded.

Not discarded. I wasn’t asking about all that…. someone could argue that phone, internet and social media have done more harm to our kids, since we care. I noticed my syntax was incorrect. I was asking if you shared the same belief as YA regarding how masks adversely impact speech, like the person on Twitter suggested.

yep. I should get my wife to post on here, She is an ISLE teacher and has said the case loads of the OT's and SLP's has increased unlike at anytime in history...so they do not visit here kids nearly as often. And now, it seems, the new orders coming down from the state is to push many of these kids in to inclusive learning classes (gen-ed) with an assistant in that same room. Which in the end may be a great thing and what my wife tries to do with some of kids in order to get more social interaction.

Certainly not all related to masks only.....but something certainly shifted in just the past two years,
