Tigers with new look offense,
Nick DeMaio, Kyle Berkeley, Luke Shilling,

a (finally) possible top level replacement for Alex Woodall,
Matt Constantinides,

and a very experienced close defense.

If the Hopkins team that played Maryland close last year shows up, they win. The team that beat Jacksonville by three will have trouble if Towson has improved with their new additions.

Well Towson has a better defense and probably a better goalie as well. But anything can happen obviously. Pumped to watch this game after a 2 year break between these 2 teams. Expecting a good game, and suspect that Towson will come out of the gate w/ something to prove.

I love that Maryland could have it’s own league. Such a cool state.

Navy
Towson
UMD
Hopkins
UMBC
Loyola
The Mount
Georgetown (throw them in since dc is embedded in Md)

That would be a great league with the most championships in overall history by far

Maryland's not the only one, although it might be a smaller state but some other states include Pennsylvania at nine, and NY with 17. Even MA has six.

Virginia has equal claim on DC
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Nope. Dc is embedded in md and md donated the land it sits on. Md also owns the Potomac River all the way to the DC shore. Georgetown was a Maryland town when the school was founded.

It’s that the Md schools are more numerous and relevant plus all within 60 miles. UMD and Georgetown both inside the beltway.

NY and MD both have 13 championships since 1971 (start of NCAA era). Where exactly is the landslide

Cuse 10 + Cornell 3 = 13

Hop 9 + UMD 3 + Loyola 1 = 13

i did say probably. thought they came around '75? but just saw '70. maryland must've loaded up in the early 70s. last time we had high inflation and gas prices together.

as in the op post. history was tossed in there, but now we're already talking about 50 years.

maybe you should check out film on games from the 30's?

More numerous? The number of Md schools (7) is less than that of PA (9), even if you include Gtown. 60 miles is an arbitrary distance, but six PA schools are in that range, and 4 are in the PA version of their beltway.

As far as relevance, 3 PA schools are currently ranked in the top 20. The same number as MD schools.

Oh, relevance means championships. I'd say a title from the 1970s is less relevant today than more recent titles, so going back to 2000:

NY: 5
VA: 5
NC: 4
MD: 4
CO: 1
CT: 1
NJ: 1
