Given that we're not going to know for sure, (anyone actually think we'll ever know?), why keep sweating it? Other than politics, what's the point?

The policy answers should be the same, regardless of how this particular virus first got to humans:

1) Make sure labs are as securely and safely managed as possible.

2) Do proactive research on viruses to prevent and prepare to respond for outbreaks from the wild.

3) Clean up/close wet markets, reducing human exposure.

4) Regulate all animal production for human consumption.
