You caught me on that one. Funny.wgdsr wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 9:43 pmbut it actually does depend!!!Typical Lax Dad wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 9:31 pmIs any condom better than no condom? (Answer can’t be “it depends”).wgdsr wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 9:13 pmgreat. now do one for "any cloth mask".ggait wrote: ↑Thu Jan 13, 2022 9:05 pmThis has been clear and true for two years now."The CDC continues to recommend that any mask is better than no mask. And we do encourage all Americans to wear a well fitting mask to protect themselves and prevent the spread of COVID-19" from the CDC director
Two people are in close proximity to each other. One is infected, one is not. Here's how long it takes for an infectious dose of virus to be tansmitted:
No masks -- 15 minutes.
Two cloth masks -- 27 minutes.
Two surgical masks -- 1 hour.
One cloth, one n95 -- 3.3 hours.
One surgical, one n95 -- 5 hours.
Two n95 -- 25 hours.
Not that complicated. Any mask is better than none. But better masks are better.

and delta.
and omicron.
and 2 (or many) peeps that think they're good bc they have masks on... community.

Did not know where to put this so I am putting this here. This is really, really interesting,
authors did a longitudinal study in active military looking at the relationship between contracting the EB-virus and ultimately being diagnosed with MS. Lots of iffs, acknowledged by the author, but certainly is a jumping off point for further investigation.
https://www.science.org/content/article ... -sclerosis
The above is a commentary and not the actual article as I could not get the article up as my subscription is on another computer.
If this is tru, a EB-vaccine might just put clamps on MS. That would be cool.
I'm sure on cue there will be the......mouth breathers wouldn't take the vaccination comments.

Don’t know about attractive, but I enjoy the anonymity. Not to mention nice and toasty in the cold air. Sort of a huge, external sinus cavity to warm and hydrate the next breath. Let’s call it a Neanderthal proboscis.NattyBohChamps04 wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 12:38 pm Face masks ‘make wearers look more attractive’, study suggests

Amusing for us. Not so much for the horses. Equine sports is morally bankrupt. Used to ride when I was young. Now I just go and feed rescue horses some treats.Andersen wrote: ↑Fri Jan 14, 2022 1:43 pm A colleague showed this to me this morning and I thought some in this group might like it:
