I dunno. If he's healthy, I find that hard to believe...
So do I.
Maybe, but 2 years without a stick, he may not be able to sting a corner.. depends if he has kept his skills up since
Look what Bernhardt did with no football….

He and Pat spencer were both the TOP lacrosse player the year they moved to another sport. Plus going the other way doesn't require stick skills, both players also known to be playing basketball/football in their spare time... I don't know enough about Arline to know if he wall balls for fun etc etc

I'm not saying its impossible that he is amazing, i'm just saying it equally possible he doesn't get a game.
But tbf inside lacrosse says he may make an immediate impact.. so i'm likely wrong

I know. Pat played a lot of basketball off season. Football doesn’t require as much “skill”. My guess is 8 weeks of lacrosse everyday will shake off the rust. If he is 85% of what he was he will be fine. I would be very surprised if he didn’t see any time. Compete level and leadership alone would probably get him on the field.

We all get to evaluate his performance this season as an undrafted player and perhaps his intentions going forward as a lax player before next season.

I had the #2 pick after Brennan O'Neill. If Arline was 100% committed to lacrosse, at UNC or USNA, I would've taken him #2 before Owen Hiltz.

That's quite an endorsement! I have done little research on him but 100% expect him to be fantasy relevant. I do not think this helps our Nick Cole.

Final quote from the Arline article,

''That said, I know what I’m capable of doing and I’m looking forward to proving people wrong that don’t think I can do it.”

These young men are sick of being told what they can and cannot do. The last two years have compounded this feeling. Time to do for you. Trader plays.

IL Power 100 out today.
https://www.insidelacrosse.com/recruiting/rankinglist/5

If we'd done a January draft it probably would've been this coming weekend, so we would've had at least a few days with the list to help draft.

A quick look shows some discrepancies between where they are on the list of 100 and where we drafted them:
Ryan Levy drafted #8 overall, but ranked as the 48th best player in the class. When I watched his highlights, he really impressed me, but I think one of the reasons IL/Xanders waits to release this list is to see the fall impact of thee players, so the list is more accurate of how they'll do in college, so maybe he didn't impress as much as other UNC freshmen in the fall.

Eric Spanos was drafted #21 overall but ranked the 12th best player in the class by IL.

Stuart Philips was drafted #38 overall but wasn't ranked in the top 100.

Casey Wilson was drafted #30 overall but wasn't ranked in the top 100.

We've been over the Tucker Mullen pick. He was ranked #55 and drafted #104 overall.

Ryan McGorry was drafted #85 overall and ranked #59.

Will Angrick was drafted #65 overall and ranked #20.

Dante Trader #9... :)
Tucker Mullen is grossly underrated... which makes no sense because, for ever, he's been far from underrated.

Your analysis on Ryan Levy being affected by impressions from the fall apply to Tucker as well.

Underrated at #55? You may be right. #55 isn't chopped liver.

Levy is mentioned in IL's fall write up of UNC, but not listed as a middie who'll see time, so i think he's at attack.

I almost pulled the trigger on Angrick with 4 different picks. Painful. Just couldn’t get conviction on a ND middie actually working out for once. And I had Ricciardelli in my top 5, just didn’t make sense at #1 and never got to me. Kid could break all-time goal scoring records. Crazy talent. At least Brad Sharp looks like a nice pick.

McAdorey and Sharp look like good picks. If you hit on two picks each draft, your team will be pretty good. I don't know much about Barnds or Aldridge.

Spanos pick looks good.
I like that self research has provided me with a good pick i may not have got otherwise, picking before the power 100 does bring up some fun draft moments! I personally prefer the early draft as being over in the UK gives me plenty time to research before picks.

Based solely on the IL article:

Upgraded picks for me appear to be henry tolker (although arline returning may make it less good) and spanos

In exchange, picks that look a bit downgraded: Holt matheis (i think his injuries mean he's too tough to scope) and Nick potemski (Spanos, Peden and Mcgill outshined him at Malvern but he's still a good player), although i saw them both as punts for the future anyways.

Just shows you win some you lose some!

in this age of Corona, players graduating, and then transferring (at post-grads), I think a lot of talented freshman will be riding the bench for a year (or two) and then shining when the pipeline is less clogged. In other words, I think we have 3-4 years before we really know who are the top freshmen. Especially on teams like MD, etc. This has always been the case but I think it'll be even more exaggerated now that we have this heavy transfer situation.
