Last time at the urologist he talked me into buying my supply from him. Min order was 150 pills. Now that sex is more about quality than quantity I now no longer have to wonder if my supply will out live me.

“The science is moving so quickly, to the point where we can’t even keep up with it,” he explained. “While scientists around the world are trying to get ahead of that, healthcare communicators and especially authorities really need to ensure that they are developing plans that are grounded in evidence but also underpinned by a solid communications plan. A core piece of that has to be transparency.”

From the NPR article:
In fact, the Biden administration has repeatedly promised to put career scientists front and center in its COVID communications. But such experts have generally not appeared outside of White House COVID-19 Response Team briefings, usually held several times each week but typically only featuring political appointees,
Still wonder why some still question that Fauci is the voice of CV19 for the US, by which most follow. They do not even listen to our POTUS. With any hope, this latest variant should put most at ease. Anecdotal....my brother in law, never vaccinated, just tested positive on Wednesday, age late 40's solid health, one night of fever and sweats, just now dealing with cold/congestion symptoms. I suppose we can thank the jump from mice to humans for omicron....maybe this was (also ) a "Lab leak".

QAnon anti-vaxxer who claimed only 'idiots' would die of Covid succumbs to the virus
Cirsten Weldon, who recorded herself screaming at people standing in line to receive their vaccines, caught Covid last month after a sustained campaign to undermine medical efforts
A vocal anti-vaxxer who claimed the coronavirus vaccine kills people has died after contracting Covid.
Cirsten Weldon used her online platform to tell the world only "idiots" would die from the deadly bug.
The American became the latest jab opponent to be killed by the disease, which has already claimed the lives of more than five million across the world.
The QAnon promoter urged both her followers and strangers she passed on the street not to take the vaccine and ignore government restrictions.
She had amassed tens of thousands of followers across her pro-Trump right-wing social media networks.
Mrs Weldon claimed leading doctor Dr. Anthony Fauci “needs to be hung from a rope” as she recorded herself screaming at people who were standing in line to receive their boosters.

She warned on one video: “The vaccines kill, don’t get it!”
Another showed her saying: “This is how gullible these idiots are. They’re all getting vaccine!”
She passed away Thursday from in a hospital in Camarillo, California, reports state.
Her last social media post was an image of herself in a hospital bed with an oxygen mask on.

In the post, she claimed she had “bacterial pneumonia” - but doctors yesterday confirmed she had caught Covid. Her death was announced on Friday.
Mrs Weldon’s wild conspiracy theories last year included claims that China paid President Joe Biden lots of money in order to test “ weather weapons” in Texas.
In May, she appeared on a podcast claiming that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton had died back in 2020.
She is not the only high profile anti-vaxxer to die for Covid in the past few days.
Doug Kazum, 61, died on Monday after a 10-day-long battle after he allegedly caught it at the ReAwaken America Tour in Texas.
The State has experienced a surge in cases and deaths due to the spread of the Omicron variant late last year.
Texas reported 35,453 new cases as of Thursday, officials state.
The ReAwaken America tour brought out many far-right campaigners, including former Trump adviser Michael Flynn, who spoke during the event.

Part of me really agrees with you: we shouldn't ghoulishly celebrate or make fun of the death of another person, even one we don't like. That sensibility doesn't, however, mask the reality that this woman was a cancer cluster of misinformation, and was probably indirectly responsible for a lot of unhappiness and illness.get it to x wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 7:36 amGrave dancing is not a good look for any of you ghouls. Re: All things CoronaVirus
That's the problem with anecdotal evidence. You can easily miss the forest when looking at just a few trees nearby. With any hope, this latest variant should put most at ease. Anecdotal....my brother in law, never vaccinated, just tested positive on Wednesday, age late 40's solid health, one night of fever and sweats, just now dealing with cold/congestion symptoms.
Sure most cases of Omi are mild. But since there are sooo many cases, the current outlook for the system/nation seem pretty bad.
The lagging indicator of hospitalizations is up 82% in the last two weeks. Currently at about the same level we saw during the January 2021 peak, and projected to keep increasing sharply for the next 3 weeks.
And then we'll get to see what happens to the next lagging indicator -- daily deaths. Up 16% over the past two weeks and projected to go up to 2,000 per day. So about equal to the Delta peak back in September 2021.
The optimistic scenario is that once we get through yet another bad peak of hospitalizations/deaths, things should really improve in March and April. Hopefully, that is when the pandemic ends and we can finally get into the endemic stage (i.e. live with Covid).

That anecdotal evidence is happening all over the place...with Omicron. The messaging was even further convoluted over the weekend when the CDC director was tasked with simple questioning. She honestly admitted that the deaths they are now seeing with Omicron have at least 4 comorbidities with each of them; she has since had to walk that back. I believe it was also her stating the the hospitalization are not from an influx of admission due to Omicron, but are catching it while there.ggait wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 11:21 amThat's the problem with anecdotal evidence. I am with you though, Omicron is our way out, so long as the safety switch on this variant stays on. And just think.....it'll all be sunshine and rainbows come election time late this summer/early fall just in time for them to take credit for shutting down the virus.

She’s was correct. I think she’s on to something.
Pretty sure that's a sentiment that the other posters share, indeed the animating purpose of most posts on this topic from those who favor more compliance with public health mitigation efforts is to save lives, reduce hospitalizations, reduce suffering from this disease.
That's been pretty darn clear from the outset, though there's been a shift in the more recent periods about those who refuse to participate in public health efforts, who therefore put themselves and their families and their colleagues and everyone else at risk, with the financial costs of any hospitalizations being borne by all the rest of us. Folks are fed up with those deniers.
But generally, there's been a desire to reduce suffering, not ignore it.
I can't say that it's ever been as clear from those who have railed against those public health mitigation efforts, who have spread misinformation about vaccines, promoted snake oil therapies instead, etc. Indeed, there's been many a post that flies directly in the face of any sort of sentiment of caring about others, including those who suffer badly from the disease. "only the obese and elderly die"...
This gal was a major spreader of such misinformation, so while it's certainly a pity she died, her specific death, and those of other prominent and active public health deniers, are primarily marked as "got what was coming to them", as well as any more generous sentiments more broadly offered.
