No shame in losing to a seriously good Penn State team... on to Towson. Darn, Knight was good, not easy to replace... I love the classic simplicity of Cornell's uniforms. Good luck against the Towson Tigers.

Great fight to get back in the game (within 3 with most of 4th quarter left).

Agree with the flat footed start, similar to Lehigh game.

I guess my only real disappointment besides not getting a W was decision on starting goalie and Raz not getting first FO’s. It seemed obvious to me that Irelan should have been starter and Raz was a decent match against Arceri last year. This could have changed how the 1st quarter played out.

Obviously I’m not at practice to observe and my suggestions are only based on numbers and game observations.

We may want to call those Masons suggested by DMac to get that indoor facility up ASAP....😂

Check out the camera work on Lax Sports Network’s hilite video:
https://www.laxsportsnetwork.com/videos ... -2-cornell

Where did they get clear video, with closeups and different angles?

Dump the garbage that the Crown Classic amateurs are providing and cut a deal to let LSN stream the game!

Nice recap VRR, thanks! I watched the video feed (yuck), but a few observations. PSU goalie Kneese only had 8 saves all night (38%). A few more shots on goal by Big Red may have found the net. PSU was highly accurate in their shooting (85% on goal), no doubt a function of the types of shots they were getting. Salvatore, Wallace and Doria caused a lot of turnovers. 3 for 4 on extra man opportunities.

Those were Mennonites. The Masons are somebody else. We do have some Quakers down in Philadelphia. Can they build stuff?

Hobart just opened an indoor practice facility. You’d think the deep pocketed Cornell alums could pull off the same.

A huge percentage of available funds from the endowment goes to fund financial aid in order to be competitive with the huge endowments in the Ivies.

I dont buy that our problems (so far) come from the lack of an indoor full field facility. We're having no trouble clearing the ball. You can practice faceoff with wing play in a space the size of a basketball court. Team defense was a really bad problem for us vs Lehigh, Albany, and Penn State. We have enough indoor space for that too.

I'm not saying it wouldn't help us in future years - just that it doesn't to me relate to what I see this year.

In correspondence, it was noted that the team wanted to practice outside in order to provide them with an advantage in the opening cold weather games.

Until a large indoor practice facility is built, there is a huge indoor facility 20 minutes from Schoelkopf Field called "The Field" that is quite large, and typically unused. I believe it's for rent for practices.

Looks like intermittent rain showers and temps around 60 degrees in Matthews NC. Any video feeds better than Twitter?

It appears the Crown Clown folks concluded the best solution to their streaming problems from Friday was to not stream at all on Sunday.

They also blocked people on twitter who complained about their stream quality. Lol. Extremely lame tournament.
