Im not complaining about her businesses, and would never root against a small biz——and I don’t disagree with her actual policies, because she only has one so far! I’m happy for her success. Dead serious.get it to x wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 8:18 amSo she was clever enough to take advantage of traffic. Sounds 100% free market to me. If not there, she likely would have found another advantageous location. She's not a rent seeker like so many who do business with the government. Your complaint should be with Lockheed-Martin, et al, not some small business owner with whom you disagree politically. How much money does Lockheed-Martin make off of installing speed cameras and managing the ticketing? The local government get's their take. The perfect merger of corporate and government interests to screw the citizen. Almost like two foxes and a chicken voting over what to have for dinner.a fan wrote: ↑Sat Nov 13, 2021 12:21 amYou're misunderstanding my point. Of course folks are free to not visit her bar.get it to x wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 8:32 pmActually, people are free to enter or not enter Ms. Boebert's establishment. She probably has her fair share of people who would come in if her name wasn't attached to it. It's America. If you're from Baltimore and you don't want to hang out at a Steelers bar, that's your jam.a fan wrote: ↑Fri Nov 12, 2021 1:00 pmBoebert is the queen of socialism. The bar she owns? Adjacent to a National Park.....her entire biz is dependent on tourists visiting a government owned and managed park. Taxpayers line her pockets.
Keeping taxes low is why we have inflation, Pete. So just like your party...you haven't the faintest clue as to how to fix our economic problems.
Oh well, i'm sure flyover TrumpVoters will handle that inflation just fine, right Pete?
My point is: if there wasn't a Federal, taxpayer funded Park adjacent to Rifle? Her bar wouldn't exist. And she's been railing against socialism since before she arrived in DC.
I have no trouble with Socialism. And I would not have a problem with Boebert if she practiced what she preached. And frankly, her guns angle is pretty solid marketing for her biz, so kudos to her there.
My point is, you are correct, her business isn’t an example of socialism. But her business (and the city of rifle) wouldn’t exist without the socialized, taxpayer owned and managed Park next door. She KNOWS socialism is a force for good in her life—-and is lying to her voters about it.
