Our secret conference location made news.
2. NORTH CONWAY, NEW HAMPSHIRE
Many people might be surprised to learn that the birthplace of American downhill skiing isn’t some powder-covered place in Colorado but rather North Conway. This endlessly charming New Hampshire town filled with pastel-hued Victorian houses and mom-and-pop shops continues its long-standing winter legacy. Can you name another destination that’s 30 minutes away from nearly a dozen ski resorts and cross-country centers? Us either.

I would put Frisco, CO on that list. Breck, Keystone, Copper, Vail, Beaver Creek, Loveland, hikes, lakes, cross county skiing is excellent.OCanada wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 1:55 pm Our secret conference location made news.

We used to take our kids to Santa's Village and Story Land when they were little. Great memories and great times in North Conway.
The Colorado ski resorts are much nicer and the Rocky mountains make Mt. Washington look like the foothills
Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
DU true but ….
The mountain is notorious for its erratic weather. On the afternoon of April 12, 1934, the Mount Washington Observatory recorded a windspeed of 231 miles per hour (372 km/h) at the summit, the world record from 1934 until 1996. Mount Washington still holds the record for highest measured wind speed not associated with a tornado or tropical cyclone.[4][a]
People have started to summit in average weather and died on the mountain.
Reminds me Dinali, if memory serves, is the most massive mountain in the world.
I got pretty far on a couple mountains in the Andes. Tremondous visuals

Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Matt,
My pick. I decided pre draft not to pick anyone w 2 or less years left. He kept dropping. I changed my mind. I think a great value. Usually i prepare three possibles. Not this time.
So i am traveling to Boston. If anyone is curious i will pick by noon.
I got antsy with progress and diverted to mountains. I hope it didn’t annoy.

My cousin lives in Breckenridge and would echo your comments on the Rockies. I visited during mud season and got to ski, golf, fish and white water raft. Beautiful area.

Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
I love New England. Took my kids to New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, the outback of Maine and the kids were unimpressed. Enjoyed swimming etc. but the nature was not a religious experience for them. Which was what I wanted. Then, one summer, we went to Colorado. Stayed at 10,000 feet in Fairplay, CO and drove to numerous places (including Breckinridge) and... they were awe struck. It was a life changing experience for them (and me). Just shockingly beautiful. *Now* when i take them to New England, they can experience the beauty of nature. But they needed to experience the high-intensity nature of Colorado first. It was like a kickstart.
