I think Hopkins will win B10 IN 2022
Johns Hopkins 2022
Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
Spring scrimmage against Denver on Jan 29
Has anyone heard about this scrimmage? I think it will be in Denver. Looking to see if anyone can confirm it and share more details.

are we at 14 games then? Is this the first time we've ever not played an ivy in a season?HopFan16 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 01, 2021 9:03 am Not playing Princeton this year.

https://twitter.com/jhumenslacrosse/sta ... 2694847495It does not feature Johns Hopkins, whom Princeton has played in every one of its seasons since 1937 except for the World War II year of 1944 but with whom a date for 2022 could not be worked out. Both teams hope to get each other back on their schedules for 2023.
Wonder what happened, given that they were apparently on the schedule as of the summer.NEWS - Due to schedule adjustments on both sides, Hopkins will not play @TigerLacrosse in 2022. Coaches already working on new date for 2023. #GoHop

Well another opponent has not been announced so 15-1 usually equals 14.

Hopkins endowment didn't skip a beat........ the Blue Jays are flying to Denver, for a scrimmage: during an economic crisis and pandemic.

Did you not notice all fall when men's and women's teams were flying all over for fall ball or is your issue just with Hopkins flying for one game? Denver's women's team flew to Baltimore this fall for a weekend. Florida's women's team flew to Baltimore twice and Northwestern once this fall. USC flew to the east coast this fall.runrussellrun wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 12:18 pmHopkins endowment didn't skip a beat........ the Blue Jays are flying to Denver, for a scrimmage: during an economic crisis and pandemic.

You need a new schtick because your Hopkins bias is pretty lame.

Princeton appears 378 times in that record book. Jacksonville 0. Another talking point for quint's "Hopkins lacrosse has lost its way" narrative.

Yeah and if there are any morons peddling that narrative, ask them about the UVA game.jhu06 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 1:19 pmIf maryland can afford a flight we canrunrussellrun wrote: ↑Tue Nov 02, 2021 12:18 pmHopkins endowment didn't skip a beat........ the Blue Jays are flying to Denver, for a scrimmage: during an economic crisis and pandemic.

don't think espn picks up the coverage if it's florida. Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
That would seem very likely
A quick check of the calendar says that if you have to be in Johnny Unitas Stadium on Friday Feb 11 and you have to be prepared to play a game somewhere on April 30th then there are 10 weekends between those two dates - which then means one of two things - either you are trying to schedule someone before Towson on Feb 5 or therabouts OR you play 3 midweek games to get to 14. If you assume that the weeks from March 26 through April 23rd are off limits because they are conference games - that means you are going to take on Loyola, Georgetown, Syracuse, North Carolina, Virginia, Jacksonville, Delaware and Navy in the space of about 5 weeks They will be battle tested.
Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
My guess based on previous schedules and what we already know for 2022 would be something like this:
2/11 @ Towson
2/15 vs. Georgetown (midweek)
2/19 vs. Loyola
2/26 @ North Carolina
3/5 @ Syracuse
3/8 vs. Jacksonville (midweek)
3/12 vs. Virginia
3/19 @ Navy
3/22 @ Delaware (midweek)
3/26 vs. Michigan (Homecoming)
4/2 @ Rutgers
4/9 vs. Penn State
4/16 @ Ohio State
4/23 vs. Maryland
4/30 B1G quarterfinals
Maybe one of those midweeks is 2/5 instead. The game at Towson being on a Friday was curious — makes me think there may be a Tuesday game the following week. Not sure why else that game wouldn't be on a Saturday. Just spitballing though.
15 games was always a bit ambitious — 14 is more than adequate and Princeton will be back. Not a longterm thing. The result of joining a conference was always going to be that non-conference rivalries would get moved around, as we saw with Navy and UVA, neither of which ended up staying off the schedule for very long.
And yes, it's going to be an absolute gauntlet pretty much no matter how you slice it. If you are going off the last time we played each team, we're slated to be on the road at all 3 ACCs, though I could see us hosting UVA again given that it's sort of a reset of the series.

Six games between 3/5 and 3/26 would be insane. I hope that is not the actual schedule.Matnum PI wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 8:43 amThat's great. The season is coming...HopFan16 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 8:31 am2/11 @ Towson

Re: Johns Hopkins 2022
Something similar to that is pretty much unavoidable unless there's a game on 2/5. There are 11 weekends for 14 games. I'm assuming they don't want any midweek games once conference play starts, which means all 3 of them would have to happen before April.DocBarrister wrote: ↑Wed Nov 03, 2021 9:46 am

Ayres named MVP and top attackman and Claiborne named top Middie at IL's 2023 ID Experience event that happened on 10/24.
Good day for the future Jays.

March 26th is "colder weather temperature times"???
Maybe, but pretty likely to be getting really nice by then.
