I guess we just need to wait patiently for the next pick
2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
What's the process for changing the eligible teams? I'd love to see eg Brown, Michigan and Harvard (maybe an Albany/High Point type as well, maybe Villanova) eligible and I definitely don't care about UMBC, Towson, UMass or Fairfield.
I'm sure we don't all agree on the specific names but the current list of schools feels pretty imperfect for the current state of the college game. Any appetite to adjust the list? I'm sure it kinda takes a few years with random Fairfield stragglers left on rosters but I wanted to start the conversation about considering this.

Totally agree. Matt, when was the last time the eligible teams changed/expanded?Lax1 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 25, 2021 5:56 pm What's the process for changing the eligible teams? If we make a change, we should do it for after the season for next year.
Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
The link DU-Fan posted above should help explain why we're slow to change NCAA teams and... We're slow to change NCAA teams. Our last change was a while back and we removed Dartmouth and Hobart and added Denver and Yale. At the time, I believe that was an obvious necessary change.

Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
I understand the pluses of swapping out a few teams. I think in the past if a team was dropped but had players were on teams the player continued on. I never cared for it if the team is dropped so too the players.
I also think a two year lead time is reasonable. I look out a couple of years to try and insure my team diesnt get out of reasonable balance.
Its been interesting watch potential picks go off the board.
Is it my imagination or do picks seem to correlate roughly with various rankings?

Well, as I would not like to get strangled TLD you have bullied me into taking a D!!! Hahaha! (Although I could prolly narrow it down to 2 or 3 guys you want!!)

Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
I think this feels like clearly the way to handle team switching, imo, and makes it easier to just make the changes.
Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Probably less so than most drafts because the rankings haven't been updated for this class in like 2 years. But yea of course they do, TX does this as a full-time job, you would hope he gets it directionally correct, even if he's not optimizing for the same set of things we as fantasy owners optimize for.
In other news, I'm really just starting random discourses because the draft isn't moving fast enough.
Re: 2022 Fantasy Lacrosse Draft
Easier for you. But this involves my having to comb through the box scores of more NCAA teams every week. We currently have 24 NCAA teams. Adding two more teams is not the end of the world but... It is 2 more teams or whatever. I prefer to keep the number at 24 when we make the transition.
