JoeMauer89 wrote: Tue Oct 12, 2021 3:22 pm I understand and can see the reasoning behind some of these people objecting. Christ almighty, does that mean I don't object to the idea of vaccination in general? None of those other vaccination's came with such a politicization and fervor that have cause untold other issues.
Yes. It has NOTHING to do with real objections to the vaccine. These people don't REALLY fear that vaccine. It's why, for example, Allen West refused to take the "untested' vaccine----yet IMMEDIATELY took the "untested" monoclonal treatments that only have emergency FDA approval. So....his protests aren't real. They're political, and have NOTHING to do with any real objections to "untested" treatments.

And this is why so many of us are annoyed and angry. It'd be a big help if you'd stop pretending that you don't understand why Americans would be angry at grown adults pretending that their freedom is at stake with a silly vaccine....leading to tens of thousands of pointless deaths, and untold economic damage. It's an entirely rational response on our part, my man. Easily understood by a guy like you.

Btw, you STILL didn't answer my questions:
a fan wrote: Tue Oct 12, 2021 12:56 pm So you want free choice for this vaccine, and ONLY this vaccine. Do I have that right?

But you're fine with the government forcing citizens to take OTHER vaccines? Polio, MMR, etc.?

I just want to make sure I'm understanding your position here.
Are you for vaccine mandates, or not? Simple question.
applause for your desire to get an answer from Joey. I doubt you'll ever get one because then he might actually have to defend his position for a change rather than just issuing another irrelevant rant.
He'd make a fine witness for the Inquisition, though.
Nothing to see here, just move along
Let me ask you this? What's the % vaccinated you are comfortable with? 99% 100% Just would like to know what your realistic or unrealistic expectations are? AH, its the trumpnistas right? News for you bud, they are always going to exist. Come to grips with it is my advice. I never said that no one was allowed to be angry. But UNDERSTAND there's people who think about it differently than you, and that's there's ALMOST NOTHING that YOU can do about it...

It doesn't. I'm not talking about private employers.....that's another conversation. I appreciate that you tried to answer, though. Thanks.

But I'm talking about State vaccine mandates that have been on the books for 40+ years.

What I asked was: are you ok with State governments forcing citizens to take vaccines? Polio, MMR, etc.?

Yes, I am fine with that. Folks issues have more to due with hesitancy than because it infringes on their personal freedoms. Trust me if you really looked into it, you would see what I'm talking about.

to calm your nerves a bit, it's 20% of all adults. the majority of those under 18 haven't been approved yet.
Which was my point. Once all the kids are all allowed to get the shot, then I'll be fine to let the 20% take their chances unvaxed.

Maybe they'll have immunity from prior infection or maybe they won't and they'll get sick and die. Once the kids are out of the path of the forest fire, let God's Will or MAGA decide it.

FYI, NIH director Dr. Francis Collins is an evangelical Christian. He makes a quite persuasive case that the vaccines are in fact God's Will and the obvious answer to all those prayers for relief from this disease.

fair. but i'm not sure you'll be done.
under 5 may not be approved for some uncertain time, and 12-17 i believe is under 50% vaxxed.
i'm gonna take a flyer and say 5-11 will crawl even slower. and probably not meet. until mandates.

See ya later, Kyrie. Stay out of boats while you're away, though. We wouldn't want you falling off the edge of the earth.
In case there was any doubt about how much of a selfish a-hole Kyrie is:

There will be no financial penalty for Irving's absence from road games, Marks told reporters on Tuesday, because that decision was made by the team.

Kyrie's so-called "principles" involve taking half salary (still many millions) from the Nets for sitting on his butt and providing no assistance to his teammates and their careers and their chances of winning a championship. That top level d-baggery right there.

Seems pretty clear that Kyrie's goal is to force a trade or a contract re-negotiation. Unlucky break for the Nets that the combination of NBA policy + contract language means that they still have to pay for the unplayed road games.

He'll probably get snapped right up by another team on strong terms. Or maybe he's d-bagged himself out of the league permanently.

Not worth taking on the union and opening a whole pandora's box. I'm sure it's not as simple as "rewarding" him as that consideration and the related mess for the team and his trade value.

my guess is he doesn't have it all still. he does do well with endorsements, too.

dropping 50% maybe more to the man on taxes, by the time he's done paying a manager, agent... do some spending, philanthropy (which he does)... the invest part has to go okay.
