Loyola has a really nice schedule.

A few thoughts

Team better be ready (and healthy)

Coach Toomey must feel pretty good about his squad

Hope fall is treating the Hounds well and the couple key guys that were banged up are in full rehab mode and healing

Loyola has their first 2023 commit

Kenan Everhart from North Carolina

Attackman.

I don’t know much about this kid but I trust the staff and their ability to evaluate talent to help the team!

I too like the Greyhounds schedule, plus scrimmage Cuse in January. Golf open this weekend and first green grey scrimmage and next week, I believe Delaware and Nova coming to Ridley.

I agree team has to be healthy, would be nice to repeat a national title 10 years later

Toomey got his 2nd 2023 verbal

F/O Carson hall out of Georgia.

Looks like he has fast twitch hands from SNG according to Twitter.

Appears that the staff is recruiting out of non hot bed areas, and finding guys to fit their mold and system

Because of Atlanta, Georgia’s right there w FL and Oh these day behind the three ringed circus of lacrosse known as MD/Midatlantic-LI-Upstate/CNY

Canada is it’s own world of course

But don’t discount quality coming out of this area. Been happening for a solid decade now or more with the attackman who played on NDs first finals team and hop had a pretty good one a few years back I believe as well as some others
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

Staff consistently does a good job of finding talent and getting guys that fit what they want...I trust our staff to get the guys we need to compete...might not show up in recruiting rankings, but it always shows up in the "real" rankings and on the field....

Current roster examples are guys like James and Kamish...non hot bed, high school players of the year in their states...came in and had immediate impacts (Unfortunately Covid in 2020 and Injuries in 2021 slowed Kamish but when he's on the field he's an impact guy...James has been strong and productive)...again, non hot bed guys as live examples...

I guess my point is I trust the staff...and I think their is tons of talent all across the country...non hot bed guys can play

Go Hounds!

Another 2023 on board. So far there’s 3 total. From florida, Atlanta and North Carolina.

Riley Savage is the new one from florida.

Volume shooter from the midfield. Has a super hard release when he gets time and room.

He can be a Peter Swindell type player. Has the range and velocity from outside to really burn past goalies

Loyola should stay in Florida and look around a lot of diamonds in the rough in the 2023 class.

Haven't seen the schedule posted here yet.

We replaced UVA with Syracuse. Looks like the Hounds will be the first to face Cuse and their new coaching staff.

The first four games will be brutal. What a way to start the season!

Anyone go to the scrimmages today? I wasn't able to make it. Curious to hear feedback.

Well, brutal yes,
but another way into the NCAAs,
a strong schedule assuming a couple Ws happen as well.

I thought the cuse game is an official contest? If it’s a scrimmage wouldn’t it be posted as (scrimmage) next to the event title?

Quick look at the Syracuse men's basketball schedule and they play Louisville at home that day, although it's currently TBD.

Loyola looked good against Nova. They were up 8-2 at half with starters. Not sure final score.

The second game Loyola had a tight match with Delaware and were down 9-7 at half with starters. Ended up scoring just one in the second half. Hens 11-8. Game got a little chippy at one point.

Goals for Loyola Lindsey 2, Higgins, Poitras, Seay, Bateman, Dixon and LSM#77.

Thanks for the update, Henpecked. The second game is a bit concerning, but the Hens are not to be taken lightly. They have improved significantly over the last few seasons after the coaching change. I wonder if this was a bit of a wake-up call regarding our conditioning, playing two games in a row. Not going to read too much into fall ball scrimmage results though.

Great to hear there was lax at Ridley again today!

Here is the IL write-up for the Saturday scrimmage held at Ridley.

One Twitter user for lacrosse noted that the offense looks in mid season form already

Guys were open for step down looks all day long.

Lindley played on another level and Aidan played well yesterday according to sources.

Offensively the team is very very deep. Bateman played on EMO.

SSDM’s might be a weakness this year with some injuries that IL mentioned.

Shafer continuing to pick up where he left off last season.
