06's posts start making a lot more sense when you view him as a parody account

Richmond's Richie Connell just entered the portal per Xanders—6'5'' lefty prolific goal scorer, from Colorado and played at Hill Academy. It's probably too late in the game at this point but I wouldn't be completely shocked if PM & Junior at least kick the tires on him. Though the timing is curious and makes me think there's more to the story.

Looks like Yale dropped out. Opponents are Harvard, Richmond, Hobart, High Point

Some people like these sorts of things
Coach Special K posted a video on twitter showing a long angle view of practice on the lower field. It ends with a shot of the practice white board with the catch phrase "The Hunt for Blue October"

'ol TX also tweeted that a Vermont Mid-fielder - Thomas McConvey wants to be a grad student transfer in '23. Lefty/Canadian/6'4"/HM AA/100 points in 33 games as a middie - if I am going to take the defenseman as a year rental - I would more than kick the tires on this one

I just noticed that John Detommaso, whom I would rank with Mark Greenberg the top close defensemen to play at Hopkins just behind the GOAT who is now an assistant coach on NY State, is now an assistant coach at St. John’s. He was a school administrator on the Island. Maybe he has stepped down from some of the administrative stuff and has the time to coach. Good deal for the Johnnies.

full interview. LSN does a wonderful job. nice well spoken kid.

they're redoing MSE. I loved it and don't see what's wrong with it, but if they're redoing the 20 year old matin and rec center 1964 is awhile for a library to go.

Greens #1.
Petro would take the ball away, Greenberg would take their entire stick away.
Greens was totally dominant.

Why is someone who hasn't stepped foot on campus in 15 years commenting on what does and doesn't need to be renovated?

Considering the amount of time that some students spend in MSE, they absolutely should be refreshing it. They certainly have the money to do so.

Re: LSN interview, DeSo seems like a good kid and may be in line for a captaincy with Williams gone. Think it is a bit of a stretch to say LSN "does a wonderful job," however. Halfway through the interview a large chyron appears noting that Milliman's record at Hopkins is "6-13." The 2021 season was rough as it is, they didn't have to tack Petro's 2020 nightmare onto PM's short resume.

I cringed a bit at the start when DeSo talked about himself and the NIL. Just a reaction to the fact that players are talking about themselves instead of team. Not slagging DeSo just will get take some time to get used to. One thing I always respected about Hopkins players and I imagine it was trained into them and that they always credited the team when doing interviews and always deferred away from individual attention.

I guess this is what qualifies as a "thing" these days but Terry Foy of IL was at fall ball practice today, presumably there will be a story at some point but for now we'll have to settle for this 30 second grainy video of a 3v3 drill. Looks like freshman Nick Kaufman (#1) with a caused turnover on Peshko.

He mentioned that some offensive veterans were injured and not at practice—hopefully nothing beyond the usual bumps and bruises because my heart cannot take another major preseason injury.

4 ⭐️ junior Chuck Rawson ‘23, A/M, Lawrenceville (N.J.) / @EdgeLacrosse has committed to @jhumenslacrosse. A slick and creative lefty, the Ontario native has been a consistent playmaker for the Big Red: https://youtu.be/EDL483NqDNk

More please

Not going to say this kid is the next Jeff Teat or anything but he reminds me of him in the way he moves and operates on the wing, and how he seems utterly unbothered by having a defender draped all over his back or in his mitts

Kid has been through a lot and chose to stick w/the program and has been 110 percent into the staff. No complaints there and I think NIL will be great for growing the game allowing the kids to build brands and forcing the schools to promote the sport beyond just the spring. no one has ever had an issue w/the coaches doing and promoting their camps and in petros case books.

Lawrence who did the pregame shows last spring and ran the social media channels for the athletic department announced he took a new job so that might be hindering some of the fall ball content. Those jersey numbers look bigger and bolder which is nice.

LSN does a nice job w/minimal resources. IL has a lot of hype, schtick, antics and holding things back to protect their besties in the sport and lsn is fair and I think direct w/coverage.

kaufman isn't listed on the website. last spring they still had petro on a staff picture so not holding my breath.

Per TX - one more 23 in the door, Dan Sheppard, F/O, Bergen Catholic. Doesn't seem to be in IL's database. Certainly looked to do well against lesser competition (https://highschoolsports.nj.com/player/ ... /2020-2021). Click through to the Don Bosco box score to see a nice day from Mr. Marquis.

Did fairly well in two meetings against Bosco’s Simone, who was an IL top 30 recruit. Based on the info online it seems like he’s a proficient raker and counter-mover which is always something you’d like to have in your FOGO room even if just as a change of pace option.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I don’t think the ‘22 or ‘23 classes have anyone from a state south of New Jersey yet. That will probably change but it’s clear the days of MIAA heavy classes are over. Lots of NJ, Canada, Long Island, Upstate.

I believe we’re close to landing a ‘23 goalie to replace Lawas. One kid, a 4-star, visited last week. He also visited Penn, but Penn just got a commitment from a different goalie, so one would think we’re in the driver’s seat.

The onion of hop lacrosse?
Now I love those cowboys, I love their gold
Love my uncle, God rest his soul
Taught me good, Lord, taught me all I know
Taught me so well, that I grabbed that gold
I left his dead ass there by the side of the road, yeah

The established powers-the acc, maryland et al right now
-have kids already on the roster
-kids staying extra years because of corona eligibility
-transfers in-and they're not transferring just to sit on the bench and take special courses not offered at their previous schools
-recruits that because of petro leaving hopkins and the transition of our program as well the uncertainty of the ivies the last few years have chosen the acc or similar top programs like georgetown/maryland.

At some point if it hasn't already that's going to create a lot of hurt feelings from kids families and coaches not used to that kind of disappointment. Duke Virginia Maryland UNC Notre Dame, have to be a lot of guys who came in as top 100 recruits or thinking they were playing and not having those opportunities.

I'm also very curious this fall at what some of the kids and coaches who've left look like. concannon was apparently having a nice spring last year, but zinn, murphy and obviously petro's defense at cuse will be worth reading about as fall ball gets going.

Thanks for the link.

It's impressive how 06 spends the entire offseason complaining there aren't more pieces like the exact one above and then when one actually gets shared he completely ignores it. Par for the course for our resident Screech.

My takeaways from the IL article:

- Mileage may vary but I find it endearing how much PM thinks about practice. He's clearly trying to squeeze the potential out of these guys
- He's talking about DeSo like he's a captain already
- Grimes breakout incoming
- Fernandez moving well
- Good things from Callahan, the freshmen poles, Phillips, Reen Hicks
- Roster at 53 right now
