But other findings suggest different conclusions: A large U.K. study, also published before peer review, found two-dose vaccines were at least as effective as natural immunity. Last month, a study from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found people who caught Covid and remained unvaccinated were more than twice as likely to be reinfected as those got immunized.

Experts also point to continuing questions about how much protection is given by previous illness, how long it lasts and how well it stacks up against vaccination. Several studies, including the one from Israel, show that at least one shot adds to the protection granted by an infection.

“If you’ve been naturally infected and you get vaccinated, you are better off,” said Paul Offit, director of the Vaccine Education Center at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. “And there’s no downside. There is no good reason to not get the vaccine.”
the cdc study confirmed one of the conclusions from israel. not different. u.k. didn't see but would like to if you have a link.

Pretty chilling little news brief from NPR this morning, about the Delta outbreak in northern Idaho.

When do you think the nation will realize that the unvaccinated are killing themselves, and in the process the rest of us?

Might be my favorite post this year. Could be a documentary title! Who Is Joe Rogan….The opening credits would feature the music of Benny Hill with footage of Joe moving around the studio quickly.

Here is a link to an article. Long lasting natural immunity would be a win. Folks have been re-infected but I don’t believe the numbers are huge. I am more concerned with variants than anything else.
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101 ... 1.full.pdf
I can think of a few reasons why you are concerned about the "variants".

These variants, like "delta", came from across the oceans, yes? How do these variants get onto US soil ?

Yeah, the hypocrites are the ones blaming ONE person, while NOT blaming another person, holding the exact same job.

If trump were to blame for covid deaths, biden certainly must be to blame from variant covid deaths. All biden had to do was close our borders. Isn't that write, brooklyn.

variants, from over seas.....how did it get here?

apparently, both ways is fine, as long as it's you

fear porn

most of the unvaccinated are in New Hampshire. in poor areas. No "work for home" for them, no sir.

besides, if Biden had closed the borders, none of these variants would be in the country.

Biden inaction is killing people.

can you have it both ways? only when it's you.

I have been a big Prince fan since his very first LP. His best work was probably his B-sides. His first album is a bonafide masterpiece. Rick James stole his keyboards. They had a running feud.
