ZZ Top bassist Dusty Hill, who played with the Texas blues rock trio for over 50 years, has died at age 72.
“We are saddened by the news today that our compadre, Dusty Hill, has passed away in his sleep at home in Houston, Texas,” surviving members Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard said in a statement. “We, along with legions of ZZ Top fans around the world, will miss your steadfast presence, your good nature, and enduring commitment to providing that monumental bottom to the ‘Top’. We will forever be connected to that ‘Blues Shuffle in C.’ You will be missed greatly, amigo.”

The Assassin is dead!
https://slam-wrestling-media.s3.amazona ... n-1200.jpg
Jody Hamilton - the Assassin - considered by many as the greatest Villain in grappling history passed away at age 82:
https://www.ewrestlingnews.com/news/the ... rld-reacts
Hamilton first debuted in 1955, and would have an over thirty-year in-ring career before a broken back forced him to retire in 1988. However, even after his retirement, he would remain a part of the wrestling industry as a trainer, manager and more. Including a stint in WCW, whom he would remain with training wrestlers at the Power Plant till it was bought out by WWE in 2001. Hamilton would also run a modern version of Deep South Wrestling between 2005-2007, which was used as a WWE training ground.
I watched him wrestle many times over the years. Definitely one of the greatest of all time. Never to be forgotten.

Great scientific wrestler, generally acknowledged as the greatest tag teamer of all time, and said by many to be the nicest guy in the business. More often than anyone else, he always picked up the tab when the guys went out for drinks.

Jenkins died Monday after an 8-month battle with brain cancer, according to Indianapolis Motor Speedway president Doug Boles. He was 73.
Jenkins was a kid from Liberty, Indiana, whose older brother first told him about the Indy 500. A race with cars speeding around a track for 500 miles sounded magical to Jenkins. Not long after, his dad took Jenkins on a trip to Indianapolis Motor Speedway for qualifications in 1958. Rolling Stones's Charlie Watts:
https://zerotodrum.com/wp-content/uploa ... ture-1.jpg
https://www.rollingstone.com/music/musi ... t-1161926/
As Keith Richards said in 1979, “Everybody thinks Mick and Keith are the Rolling Stones. If Charlie wasn’t doing what he’s doing on drums, that wouldn’t be true at all. You’d find out that Charlie Watts IS the Stones.”
Jagger once phoned Watts’ hotel room in the midst of an all-night party asking “Where’s my drummer?” Watts reportedly got up, shaved, dressed in a suit, put on a tie and freshly shined shoes, descended the stairs, and punched Jagger in the face, saying: “Don’t ever call me your drummer again. You’re my f---------g singer!”

Daffney - the Scream Queen
https://www.huffpost.com/entry/daffney- ... 53eda70a87
Ex-Wrestler Daffney Unger, AKA Scream Queen, Dies At 46 After Alarming Video
The performer, whose real name was Shannon Spruill, was popular in the late ‘90s and early 2000s.
https://people.com/sports/mick-foley-pa ... -her-time/
My all time favorite female wrestler. Know as the Scream Queen. One who could actually wrestle and who could take some wicked punishment in that ring. A superb entertainer and athlete.
"You were such an important figure in wrestling, ahead of your time, giving more to the wrestling business than it ever gave to you, inspiring others who didn't look like the women of the day to follow a path you helped pave," Foley concluded. "But you were more that a wrestler...you made miracles happen. #RIPDaffney."

Re: Daffney - the Scream Queen
From what I've read, she had addiction to pain killers. During her career she took an almost incredible amount of bumps unlike so many wrestling divas. This is how she got injured so badly which caused the addiction. How I wish she had taken a different direction in her career going into management rather than grappling in the indy circuit. Shot herself in the chest and asked that her brain be donated to science for research into athletic head injuries.
I loved my Scream Queen ever since I first saw her in WCW. Will miss her so much.

One of the best ever with a dry delivery.
Saw this on wiki that encapsulates his humor perfectly: 'After the announcement that Michael Jackson and Lisa Marie Presley planned to divorce, Macdonald joked about their irreconcilable differences on "Weekend Update": "She's more of a stay-at-home type, and he's more of a homosexual pedophile."'
