My only objection to this is the positioning that it's 'liberals' who should be righteously angry...I think anyone who has loved ones at risk, and anyone economically or otherwise impacted by the necessary restrictions due to surging virus, should be mightily ticked off...that includes moderates and conservatives.jhu72 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 6:54 am We've heard from journalist Kyle Smith, lets hear from journalist Ryan Cooper.

Or that he failed to persuade those who cheered when it was announced that the US had not quite met Biden's target of 70% by July 4?
I don't know that anyone has claimed that Desantis is at fault for the rise of Delta across the US, even over on the gator troll's promotion of Desantis thread where he's frequently scorned. But he's definitely been one of the politicians who have staked their political fortunes to the anti-government, public health skeptics who refuse to comply with public health recommendations. Desantis has gone further, signing laws and EO's that prevent other officials and even private businesses from following such recommendations...and he's crowed about it...

Monoclonal antibody infusions are widely available. They require only a Rx from a doc. They're not well publicized because they might reduce vaccinations. Sounds like those measures could be helpful if actually executed well. But they're aimed merely at saving a life, not preventing the damage from a serious bout with the virus.

Like the various COVID-19 vaccines, various COVID-19 monoclonal infusion therapies currently fall under the EUA. While widely available (like the vaccine), they do not yet have full approval. Vaccine hesitant people would be wise to be wary of them for the same reasons they're hesitant about the vaccines.old salt wrote: ↑Fri Aug 13, 2021 10:43 amMonoclonal antibody infusions are widely available. uk and israel are working u.s. numbers on cases and deaths right now with much higher vaxx rates and even u.s. equivalent 17 million+ (edit: 27 million equivalent. and just opened to over 50s from 60s) booster shots already doled out in israel's case. delta's going to win for a bit. hopefully not to the degree we've seen in the south. we'll see.
