Don’t think it’s been decided one way or another. Probably been discussed amongst coaches but I doubt we hear anything on it for awhile
But, this year's play in was a separate weekend. I doubt the coaches are all that jazzed up to lose an entire weekend of play to account for a play-in. Now, if they play during the week, that is another story. Though I am sure the coaches would find something to complain about.
I liked having all the B1G teams in the conference tournament. Gave all the teams a shot to make the NCAA tournament.

Sadly all will be gone .Left lasting impression of Rutgers lacrosse that will help recruiting going forward.

Rutgers might have been out of NCAA if Hopkins won but I do agree with doc b that all should once again play in BIG tourney

they would have to do the weekend before again. which is doable, depending on contracts before the b1g season starts.

with 5 games, there's a very good likelihood team 3 (and maybe 4) is sitting there instead of 2 but for a tiebreaker. they're not gonna sign off on wed/fri/sun with a bid on the line to get team 5/6 in. imo.

I’ve got a feeling on Penn State. They feel like a potential bounce back candidate. They had some injuries, everything went wrong. There’s some young talent on that roster and they bring in a really good recruiting class. Better luck, young talent taking a next step, I think they can improve

Ohio State I am.....less confident
Penn State does have talent.
Top classes, top ten according to IL,
in 2019 and this upcoming class.

Again, with the Covid years, the opportunity to play these
highly regarded or recruited players has been very
limited.

Canyon Birch was poached from Army almost
immediately after Tambroni lost Brennan O’Neill.
Grant Haus is a solid talent.
Some contributions from 2020 freshmen.
The goalie Fyock looked good in limited play -
he was a fairly highly rated goalie from a couple years
back and has probably 3 years eligibility remaining.

I would not underestimate Penn State. They had some bad luck with injuries, as noted above, but they have lots of talent. According to some here, that’s pretty much all you need. :?

PSU returning Brian Townsend, Jack Kelly, Jake Glatz, and Brayden Peck as they pursue their masters degrees

They are also adding Richmond grad transfer midfielder Tate Gallagher

I like Kelly and Peck, for sure.
Again, two good classes in a row, no Grant Ament nor Chris Sabia, yet among them.
So then, Tambroni is gearing up for next year well, I still believe though that the following year is the year to look for PSU making a serious NCAAs push.

Townsend has been their top SSDM since 2019, missed last year with a torn ACL. He’s a good add. He has 2 years remaining, may not use them both though.

Watched the Nike National All Star game on ESPN3
OSU Fritz (FO) - cleaned up on FO. The other team went to sending out a pole to take the FO against him.
PSU Fracyon (G) - over 20 saves for an All Star game
OSU Van Buren (D) - looked impressive including a goal
Michigan Mulholland (M) 3 goals. The first one very impressive one handed going thru three players.
Maryland Spanos (A) with a nice assist

The B1G will be tough at the top with all the free agents brought in by Maryland and Rutgers.

How did Hopkins do in free agency? I saw the landed a Virginia back up and a D3 goalie? Did anyone else transfer in?

also added a providence defenseman. I'm sure they wanted others. could always use more help in the midfield/center/back end. Onto 2021.

This is a pathetic debate about who did “better in free agency”. What a bunch of children.

Are you just incapable of not being an a-hole? Seriously, why even chime in?
