My son, who spent a year at UVM apparently studying Glass Bong Technology, told me the same thing the other day. Just forgot to post it. No its not a regional thing, it is UVM for the University of Vermont everywhere, it's even used for their web address and they call themselves UVM on the main page
https://www.uvm.edu/
I know a couple UVM grads and they all say UVM maybe just confusing with the state itself which 2 letter abbreviation is of course is VT

I read this quickly and thought I read "Glass Blowing Technology" and thought, wow, that's unique. And then read it a little closer and had flashbacks to the 80's when I had a similar class...seacoaster wrote: ↑Mon Jul 19, 2021 3:12 pmMy son, who spent a year at UVM apparently studying Glass Bong Technology, told me the same thing the other day. When you say south...do you mean as in south of the Mason-Dixon? or south as in below North Carolina?LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:06 am About to be an opening down south. A long time coming.

LP, can I ask what you mean when you say "a long time coming"? Selvage had winning seasons each year (minus 2020, technically), it just seems like they could never quite get over the Jacksonville hump and win a conference championship. Other than that, I don't know too much about the situation down in Conway, SC. I knew Selvege better when she was the HC at DII Lock Haven in PA.LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:06 am About to be an opening down south. A long time coming.

Re: Coaching Carousel
No, but I was curious as well. The program hadn't taken a serious nosedive or anything. I even checked rosters year by year for a mass exodus of upperclassmen. I didn't see anything too off, other than the fact that she brought in 16 freshmen in 2017, which isn't really that strange since it was the first recruiting class she was bringing in and there could have been some old Lock Haven commits she asked to join her down in SC.
The program and Coastal Carolina always intrigued me because of how attractive that school can be to recruits. It's not an SEC athletic program, but their athletic programs do enjoy a lot of success for a mid-major, especially with their baseball program winning the CWS in 2016 and the football team's recent success. There's also the warmer weather and proximity to the coast & Myrtle Beach. It definitely doesn't sport the same academic prestige as the Ivies, Patriot League, NESCAC, etc. but that's also not for everyone.

A long time coming. She was “relieved of her duties” for a reason. Let’s just say the party never stopped in Myrtle Beach...wlaxphan20 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 1:22 pmyupLacrosseFan33 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 1:05 pmCoastal CarolinaLaxfan500 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:11 amFlorida or Duke ?LaxPundit07 wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 11:06 am About to be an opening down south. Steve Sarkisian-esque. Hoping she takes the time she needs to right her ship. In the meantime, it is best for the program to go a new direction.
