IF someone wants to transger to school A, put a deadline has been missed for application, that could be an issue. Deadline issues can possibly be worked around, depending on the university. But I have certainly heard of athletes committed to play at top D1 schools and then having to change their commitment last minute because they didn't get into the university. No insight, but maybe nothing more complicated than players seeking opportunities to get on the field after getting a more accurate feel for their playing prospects at their current school.
