Difference is we are the new kids on the block. Dont yet have top twenty players knocking down our doors to get in but winning breeds winning .

RU just has to keep it going until they can legitimately sell itself as a top ten lax power especially with NJ players such as Khan. Once we attain that standing then RU wont need the portal.

Right now Virginia can shop anything south of Pennsylvania without any complaints from me. Lol
I love your optimism just hope you don’t get on the crazy big ten Rutgers train some appear to have.

Huh?

Rutgers has had a recent upswing in sports.

Been one of the conductors in lax. No reason why Knights cant be a serious contender in lax and even hoops. Football? eh, Schiano provides some false hope but....

The RU fans on here are beyond delusional. 1 Quarterfinal loss in 20 years with 3 grad student attackmen and you guys think your beating down the door of being a blue blood. Some of your best 22 commits are already visiting other schools right now. Sorry, but Rutgers will always be Rutgers.

Some plugged in people on Inside Maryland Sports are saying the Terps have added two big grad transfer names. Probably will come out soon, although the Donville transfer has yet to be confirmed.

When do we start all the big ten complaining about unfairness for the 22 season? Before or after 3-4 teams add 3+ meaningful transfers?

Some are uncomfortable that there is a another player at the table winning some hands in the portal.

Arrows are being shot about our involvement but they are missing mark.

Knights are no one hit wonder, been a good program for several years always on the cusp. Some may recall us being ranked #1 for awhile a few years back. Our final ranking this year was more than deserved.

Care little about being a blue blood.. RU is a combo of grit and smarts , Matt Damon in Good Will Hunting exposing the arrogant fool at the bar .

Maryland is the program that RU wishes to become . Had hoped that BB could have landed Klan but congrats if Terps did. They make us better.

Given what I'm hearing about Maryland's non-con schedule, no one will wonder "how good is Maryland" come May.

I’m confused with the hatred for Rutgers. They’ve been a top 20 team for the past 4-5 years. So what if they added transfers? Maryland is adding, Duke added, Notre Dame added - it’s the name of the game. They play an exciting brand of lacrosse, they are the best team in NJ and NY lately and the facilities are top notch.

I have no problem with Rutgers or Rutgers adding transfers. I just think people are getting carried away with how good Rutgers is after losing their best pieces.

The transfers they’ve added are Burgdorf (good player), then a bunch of solid D1 players and D3 guys. I don’t see how they’re a tournament team in 2022 at this point. They graduated 165pts from their attack (and that’s against a shortened all-B1G schedule), a few average transfers on offense will hardly ease the loss of arguably the best attack in program history.

I think Rutgers meaningfully raised their floor with the transfers but not the ceiling. The ceiling is still probably a 1st Round tournament team that makes a B1G tournament run and gets in late

But I do think with replacing Kirst meaningfully well with Burgdorf, rounding out the midfield and attack reasonably well with Cameron and Bartolo and getting a FO option they’re not gonna crater like some worried after all they lost.

I’d still have them outside the tournament if we were guessing today but I think they’ve given themselves a better shot now

Talk about a team that wants a participation trophy, good team, good year and that puts them in the same pool as about 20 other schools not named Duke, UNC, UVA, UMD, They are more like Jay and Silent Bob than Good Will Hunting.

2012 Rutgers 6-9
2013 Rutgers 2-11
2014 Rutgers 8-8
2015 Rutgers 5-10
2016 Rutgers 11-5

Well I could see the metaphor as abused stepchild with anger issues but that’s where it ends for me

Given what I'm hearing about Maryland's non-con schedule, no one will wonder "how good is Maryland" come May.
And they proved it this year and no one really rejected it but what everyone was ignoring or missing was that it wasn’t proven w the conference only play and wayy too many big ten fans were whining and making things up while crapping on the rest of D1. It was obnoxious and absurd all season long.

Difference is we are the new kids on the block. Don't yet have top twenty players knocking down our doors to get in but winning breeds winning .

RU just has to keep it going until they can legitimately sell itself as a top ten lax power especially with NJ players such as Khan. Once we attain that standing then RU wont need the portal.

Right now Virginia can shop anything south of Pennsylvania without any complaints from me. Lol

What? Matt Damon? I guess I hit the nail on the head with delusional.

Have you been reading your peer Rutgers fan posts since Feb? It’s not the school but rather the folks going nutty here and trashing everyone else under the sun out of an inferiority complex.

And Burgdorf either mailed it in or declined in 21.

2017 Rutgers 10-4
2018 Rutgers 9-6
2019 Rutgers 7-8
2020 Rutgers 2-4
2021 Rutgers 9-4
How dare you besmirch Jay & Silent Bob
