Maybe they realized they hired a HC with no XP…

Don’t worry he will have as little success as his predecessors and will be exposed against the big boys of the NCAC.
Time will tell, but we can agree to disagree for now.

Yes he was just hired in Sept 2020 and before that he was announced as the new HC at Huntingdon in June 2020 so not sure if its the school our the person. And if he went somewhere else did they not look at his resume, sometimes its not everyone else's fault.

Being that it’s less then a month since the job was posted, you have to assume they went with the assistant coach.
They did not, really wasn't an assistant on board to go with, going with an alum from the prep school ranks

I guess he’s a hot commodity right now, checks the box.

That’s good for them, keep the Leanos lineage.

I know the job was posted in May or April but have absolutely nothing about it.
New AD appointed, I know of a number of individuals who applied when it was first posted, but no follow up, even when phone calls were made. Some of those candidates have withdrawn their application.

(Speculation alert) but maybe the new AD pressed the reset button on the search :?:
An alum that is pretty on top of this coaching search relayed that they had originally gotten down to 2 candidates, which the new AD was involved in zoom interviews with. A previous head coach with over 200 wins combined at different college levels and a current D3 assistant who has lengthy experience as both head and assistant coach at D3 level. Since then, crickets on the search.

AD was really excited to bring on the (now former) coach from Huntingdon.

Head scratcher indeed

Already ahead of Hiram in the win column and the recruiting/numbers column.

They don't seem that far off and will be pushing (and hopefully remaining) in the top 4 in a couple of years.

In regards to Plattsburgh, this is the first line in Hauk's bio:

"Andrew Hauk enters his second year as the head men's lacrosse coach at Plattsburgh State in 2022."

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say he "got the job."

Mount Union might be looking for a new assistant… OAC assistant getting his shot as a leader within the conference. Excited for the growth of the conference should be a great hire for the SP’s!

Has anyone heard anything from Williams Peace? I feel like that was one of the first openings posted and haven’t heard much since.

Seems to be a good young coach. Comments following an earlier interview were all really good.
