Hiring the right coach will be different at every school.
Right now, I'd love to be a fly on the wall in a bunch of places.
I do have some scoop on one of those top 5 but
Sorry, not my place to share.

By the end of next week though
Unknowns will start to clear up.
Right now I'm just gonna sit back and wait,
Kick my feet up and
Enjoy a long weekend.
I get it, Deep Pocket - always a slippery slope with how much of whose info to share. At least with Wabash, I tried to spell it out and gave you this post two weeks before they announced. (Just take the first letter of each line)
Imta to Gettysburg?!? Haha!!!

White was talking about how he previously snuck a Easter egg about the Wabash pick. Donkey jokingly extrapolated that White’s next post’s first letters were also an Easter egg regarding G’burg.

Thanks DeepPocket! Sometimes I am too much of a straight line thinker and miss the nuances

Now that’s clever! Haha I honestly haven’t heard much since last week.. seems everyone is keeping it tight to the vest. I did hear Denison is planning to announce their guy buy July 1.

Surprised if they announce July 1. Hearing there’s a very strong candidate on campus early next week.
Also another Midwest job may wrap up by July 1.

Not to be too optimistic, and giving utmost respect to the Coaches that are leaving. I think this turnover can be real positive, the game changes, recruiting changes. Maybe we see some more innovation from these coaches..one of the great things about this sport is that is evolving and that draws and keeps many fans. A lot of coaches were “unproven” in other sports Belichik, Saban. Etc and redefined coaching…

Being that it’s less then a month since the job was posted, you have to assume they went with the assistant coach.

Some of these D3 jobs are way underfunded. I know a midwestern coach whose budget is less than my kids high school lacrosse coaching budget. 10K for a part time HC gig and no money for assistants. most people are clueless how little these guys make.

... and thankfully I know of at least one midwestern D3 job with a budget much healthier than the ranked D2 program that the new coach came from :)
It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.

… And it is unfortunate that it took them almost a decade to figure out the program.

Has anyone heard anything about GBurg? I've been told they have their Guy... But I don't know if I completely trust the source, ties to the program the coach is leaving from, but I don't if they're that plugged in. If it is true, things are about to realllllly shake up!

Don’t worry he will have as little success as his predecessors and will be exposed against the big boys of the NCAC.
