Can you belay the dumb stuff? I’m not trying to “intimidate” him (unless his “intimidation” threshold is astonishingly low). I’m trying to understand if that’s what he was suggesting and, if so, why he thinks transfers could result.

Why? Because I think hiring a legendary player/coach who just went to four finals and won a championship/player exceptionally well-versed in GG’s playing ethos would have the opposite effect.

It’s interesting to think about—BC is a very disciplined team. They don’t self-destruct at the end of games and they don’t take stupid penalties. If Treanor brings any of that to Syracuse, who knows what the reaction will be. We shall see as the season unfolds.

Who is doing any kind of intimidating here, Cletus? Are you the advisor and referee of intimidation now?
I see two different thoughts being expressed here and I agree with the later. I think it's crazy
to think Cuse girls will transfer out because Kayla is now their coach, quite the opposite actually,
I'd bet they're thrilled to have her. It is an unfounded supposition and everyone's opinions are
subject to rebuttal/comment. So where's the intimidation here or are you just over reacting
and crying wolf?

Quite an amazing outpouring of love and gratitude and best wishes from both Boston College and Syracuse on social media. Treanor must feel overwhelmed with joy. I’m sure she’ll be on the phone plenty of times with Gary as well.

Why would you suggest this? Do you think KT will be more physically demanding than Gary? That her desire to prove herself is greater than GG’s desire to win? I guess I don’t see it. You will always have players that decide the work is not worth it but after coming up 1 game short of the National Championship everyone knows the work needed to be put in.
