Love the enthusiasm for Washington and Jefferson on the board. That being said, it seems the gap between Grove City and them is pretty big. Saint Vincent and Chatham possibly look like they could have ground gained on them.
It will be interesting to see who schools hire (current assistants vs current head coaches) for some of these positions.

99.99% chance that it's the required state posting.SouthernLaxGenius wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 1:16 pm Plattsburgh is posted.
Is this just a campus/state thing or is Hauk leaving?
Hauk was hired last year after the fall semester started, and there was no posting/search at the time.

Yeah people love cutting their salary in half for jobs they’re over qualified for.River Donkey wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 10:48 amPoillon to W&J??SouthernLaxGenius wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 8:08 pm Love the enthusiasm for Washington and Jefferson on the board. Agreed.
90k is ACC/B1G money/salary

There are a decent handful of programs that pay their coaches quite well outside of ACC/B1G. It obviously depends on the guy, some would surprise you. The range for assistants in D1 is about $25k-$150k. Head coaches $50k-$750kSouthernLaxGenius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 11, 2021 1:04 pmAgreed.

Please provide one example of an assistant making anywhere near 150k?

When Petro is announced for SU he will be in that range. Brown at DU is in that range, Byrne when he was at ND was in that range.River Donkey wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 9:57 amThis is the definition of “fake news” and “don’t believe everything you read on the internet.”InsiderRoll wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 8:09 amThere are a decent handful of programs that pay their coaches quite well outside of ACC/B1G. Insider Roll must have some insider information, especially since 2 out of those 3 names mentioned are not assistant coaches currently and one of those was pre pandemic.InsiderRoll wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 10:14 am

Possible Brown may be the exception and not the rule (associate HC and coach in waiting) but still seems like a lot.
750k for a head coach as well?
I've been wrong before but damn that's a ton of paper

750 is only 1 man. Gary Gait was making that as the women’s head coach. It’s possible title ix bumped him down but I’m sure he didn’t take much of a cut. Most “top tier” D1 guys at are between $200k-$300k, handful of guys above that.
I had heard $750k for gait recently as the wlax coach, here’s a 2015 article citing his $700k salary.

Obviously these contracts are complicated and different for everyone. We are talking total compensation after bonus, incentives, and stipends. Most ACC/B1G assistants have things like car stipends, etc that can reach over $10k/year. Schools can get creative to be competitive.

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
I would probably agree with insiderroll, though I think it’s a rare exception that approaches those upper limits in salary. For every assistant above $100k, there’s probably ten below.
Since this is a D3 page, what do you all think is the range for d3 head coaches? At a lot of these schools, coaches are on faculty contracts with great pay/benefits. Others they’re just staff, and its completely different.

It's either a thoughtful comment or smartass sarcasm. Learn to recognize the difference.

20k-120k. I think some coaches have "dual" duties to go along with coaching (administration or teaching).WhiteCarrera wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 11:49 am Since this is a D3 page, what do you all think is the range for d3 head coaches? Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
we're going on more than a decade now of that 700+ being cited. that was his year 1 total comp to bring him in. here is a listing of the top 20 @ su from federal 990 form for that same exact year, 2015:InsiderRoll wrote: ↑Sat Jun 12, 2021 10:49 am750 is only 1 man.
