I wouldn’t expect McDaniel to move particularly fast. My sense is that they have HR guidelines and a process to follow, and no unusual sense of urgency.

Sad to see other schools in the Centennial with their "stuff" together while Mcdaniel drags their feet and miss out on the early stages of summer recruiting

I think college administrations figure that it’s too late to recruit too much to affect the next incoming class, and that there’s always enough time to recruit for the following class. I’m not saying that’s right, but I think that’s the mindset that is out there.

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
At this point in time in a normal year, maybe a few NESCAC schools have their class all set; but the rest of D3 is still in the thick of it. There’s a natural trickle down once the NESCAC wrap things up in July but I’d venture to guess that 90% of D3 is still actively recruiting their class all summer and 70% are still active in the current cycle in the fall.WhiteCarrera wrote: ↑Tue Jun 08, 2021 8:30 pm I think college administrations figure that it’s too late to recruit too much to affect the next incoming class, and that there’s always enough time to recruit for the following class. THIS YEAR- since nobody got to watch kids play as juniors last year, I think all bets are off and everybody will be working hard into the fall to wrap up their classes.

sure the resume looks good, but Scranton and Drew aren't the level of lacrosse that Gburg is. a winless season at drew is BAD.River Donkey wrote: ↑Thu Jun 03, 2021 10:04 amLook at his bio genius. Hearing Gettysburg is down to the nitty gritty and could be making an announcement in about 2 weeks.

Hmmm, okay; currently in the Midwest, at a D2 school, as a top assistant and recruiting coordinator. Here's wishing good luck to Burke and to Wabash. It would be terrific for the NCAC to have a competitive Wabash team.LacrosseFan33 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 10, 2021 11:02 am Burke to Wabash

Also, hearing Cooper left Colgate. Spent two years at Denison as an assistant.

Very excited for Chris Burke at Wabash. No one debates Wabash’s uniqueness; some “get it” — some don’t (and that’s okay). Those involved (all across the board) are very happy with this outcome.

Re: 2021 Coaching Carousel
Any word out on Washington & Jefferson? IMO the most underrated job on the board. They have great financial backing in terms of budget, great success in various of their other programs, and they play in a conference where 2 maybe 1 recruiting class can propel a team to a championship win. W&J should be appealing to a high level D3 Assistant or a low level D1 Assistant, this board has not given that position enough credit.
Last 8 seasons for W&J below under former coach. With the right recruiting strategy W&J should be leading the PAC.
2014: PAC SEMIS
2015: No Tournament Held, (Transition from non-AQ PAC to ORLC, 4-0 vs PAC Schools on the year)
2016: ORLC Championship Runners Up
2017: ORLC SEMIS
2018: Missed ORLC Tournament (5th in 11 team ORLC)
2019: Missed PAC Tournament (5th in newly formed PAC)
2020: COVID
2021: Missed PAC Tournament

No disagreement on the W&J situation; though, don’t confuse the lack of discussion with a lack of credit. I just think no one‘s been talking about it compared to the others.
