Any insight on the Robo Madison game? Was that the conclusion of the game that was rained out after the first half last week? I watched that game on Livestream and Robo seemed to be doing a lot of me ball - one guy dodging and everyone else watching. Madison slowed the tempo and was very deliberate

They are usually posted on the vhsl.org website, but god forbid they get posted in a timely fashion.

Speaking of postings, any official all- district lists yet? Have seen some social media postings

Riverside 19
Woodgrove 2

But I think much more interesting...

Freedom 13
Stone Bridge 0

Freedom avenging their loss to SB two weeks ago. Which I found really hard to believe after watching RS play both of them.

I do believe Freedom is the 2nd best team in the county, doesn’t matter if it’s 4, 5 or 6

No, freedom would get smoked by County and Dominion.

Besides Riverside in 5a, 4a has the better teams this year. Freedom barely got by heritage 6-5 which is in the lower tier of 4A this year.

Champe is currently in the Cedar Run, Freedom starts next year as the conference goes to 8 teams.

Freedom has a solid feeder program and strong coaching. If not for the “PVI” effect they would be right there with Riverside as top team in the state.

Dominion wouldn't smoke Freedom, I think Freedom wins that game, they have more talent on the field! They fell asleep for two games against Stone Bridge and probably Heritage and regrouped for a 13-0 win against Stone Bridge. Did Dominion field a JV team this year?

Riverside would beat Dominion and County by 15 or more. As Dominion and County would never have possession. Face-off matters.

I think these are the first round matchups today and tomorrow for 6A Region D:

Centreville v. McLean
South Lakes v. Wakefield
Langley v. Westfield
Oakton v. Washington-Liberty
Chantilly v. Herndon

Yorktown and Madison with byes. Not sure what the bracket looks like.

Not sure but I think Region D was set up like this: Yorktown, Madison. and Marshall with a Bye in the first round

--------------->National 1 - Marshall - Bye

Concorde 3 - Oakton
Liberty 4 - Washington Liberty

Concorde 2 - Chantilly
Liberty 6 - Herndon

Liberty 2 - Langley
Concorde 5 - Westfield

--------------->Concorde 1 - Madison - Bye

Liberty 3 - McLean
Concorde 4 - Centreville

---------------> Liberty 1- Yorktown - Bye

National 2 - Wakefield
Liberty 5 - South Lakes

If the seeds hold in the first round you'd have:
Marshall vs Oakton
Chantilly vs Langley
Madison vs McLean
Yorktown vs Wakefield (though I think Wakefield beating South Lakes would be an upset.)

It's so ridiculously stupid that these brackets aren't posted online by VHSL. (Thank you for helping.)

If this is right, then the next round is:

Oakton v. Marshall
Chantilly v. Langley

McLean v. Madison
Yorktown v. South Lakes

Don’t really understand how Marshall gets a bye at 3-6. Chantilly/Langley should be a good game. Yorktown, Madison, and Oakton should win.
