I disagree on both counts. Comparing Wagner to BC is like comparing apples and oranges. Kayla has more experience at the ACC level. And I have to be honest if Spallina comes I think some kids will leave. And does he bring any of his own players with him? Now Coach Defliese DID work with him at SB. So does she stay?Laxfan500 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:38 amI totally agree with you - Tumolo would be a great choice. But it will be Spallina. And good luck to SB without him.seacoaster wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 7:35 am I think Tumolo now has something like 2 or 3 head coaching years under her belt. I also assume she is well-connected in the NJ and Long Island recruiting avenues. Respectfully, she seems like a more plausible choice than KT.

Bart posted Pat McCabe's name on another thread. Longtime head coach at D2 power and champion Adelphi.
What about Kathy Taylor moving back to the Syracuse area from Colgate?

Good point. This would make the UNH opening a lot more compelling for an up and coming coach. She wouldn't have to worry about only playing for an at large bid. The auto qualifier would be a realistic path.

Funny I heard she was up there not long ago. Didn’t think twice
Also. Would Thorpe leave Pitt? Asst new program vs head coach at alma mater. Dream job? But would they offer
Re: Coaching Carousel
I am a big fan of them keeping Coach Defliese, if a program is successful and it isn’t a firing of the HC then why change what is working. That hire would provide the most consistency. Spallina would be the headline grabbing hire.Cagekeeper wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 8:02 amI disagree on both counts. Comparing Wagner to BC is like comparing apples and oranges. I wonder who Gary is supporting and if he will have any influence in the hiring process given he is still going to be at the school and working with the AD?

Dowd is in Europe, happy, having fun. She didn't like being a head coach at Oregon it seemed. I don't see her coming back to coaching outside of an assistant job and only if her personal life brings her back to an area with a lax program.

What took Thorpe to Pittsburgh? I thought that was a head scratching move when he went there.

Does Treanor want the job?
This means something along those lines I’m guessing

Re: Does Treanor want the job?
Interesting… if Kayla Treanor had already turned the opportunity down then why would someone create this petition… it is also showing as created by Alyssa Murray.. I would have thought the two of them are still in contact as ex-teammates.Cletus wrote: ↑Mon Jun 07, 2021 3:09 pm This means something along those lines I’m guessing

I don't see Kathy Taylor making that move. She just got to Colgate.

Could this mean the reports of her turning down job are false?

Re: Coaching Carousel
So lots of talk about Spallina no talk of who would replace him at Stony Brook any thoughts?
