If Michael Jordan had been coaching the unc wbb team for 15 years at a highly successful level, of course he would have been a great candidate to replace Roy.

I don’t know if I’ll get the job. But I am massively well qualified to coach mlax at any D1 school. And even more qualified at the school where I’ve already been head coaching for 15 years.

FYI, Hubert Davis has never been a head coach before. And I think he will do fine.

You are right. My point is that Gary is more popular with parents of our generation versus today’s high school kids. BTW, I was stunned that Bobby Hurley and Johnny Dawkins were not considered for the Duke job (maybe they were approached quietly). Bobby Hurley has done a great job at every stop.

How did Mike Davis do? Hubert may be fine. He has been an assistant for a while….Landscape has changed. Juwan Howard has been excellent….Kevin Ollie not so great (despite the NCAA title). Kevin squandered an opportunity.

I agree. It’s better to follow the guy, that followed the guy. Gary Gait would make a fine men’s lacrosse coach. I have no doubt about that. I was just poking fun as he is more popular with the 50+ crowd than the 16 year old crowd… it’s like guys our age thinking Sharon Stone is still hot, for a real fact check you have to ask a 20 something year old guy.

Wasn’t Chris Collins a Duke guy too?
