Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Well, well--Syracuse caught a little yellow card fever from the Wildcats it seems...
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Yes it was.
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
The only time CN decides to ride she gets a yellow card. Guessing won't see her in the ride again given what happened to Tyrrell
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Don’t agree with that call. To me, crosschecks in the back should be close to an automatic yellow, but not crosschecks to the side. Foul, yes. Yellow, no.
Swart in the goal circle. Sorry Cuse fans. Again, pet peeve.

Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Agreed but since they called Tyrrell for same thing they had to call North
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Hers was from behind. On one level, I am OK with that call. On another, it is really pretty tough to foul a player out on a call like that in the championship game. It was far from an egregious foul.
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Name a more complete 2-way middie currently in the game than Belle Smith. I can't.
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Pretty average play from BC goalie and on draw but are more than making up for it with great offensive possessions and passing

Agree on the yellow against North. I’m thinking payback for the call on Tyrrell, which I didn’t think warranted a yellow in a national championship either. Kids have to step up now.
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Agreed. BC's O is solid. And their draws are improving. North and North.

Ally M. She also takes the draw so is more complete, I think.
Not to take anything away from Smith who is having a fabulous season.

On the Tyrrell play it looked like the BC player did a great job of ripping her goggles off to sell it. I didn't see a replay...maybe Cletus can post the play?? Definitely a huge call, literally game changingseacoaster wrote: ↑Sun May 30, 2021 1:12 pmAgree on the yellow against North. Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
The yellow was for a cross check to the back. Didn’t notice the goggles, but they would be irrelevant to that, I think.
Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Watching with D, said technically a yellow but never really call that play

Let me preface this by saying I agree that Smith is a complete 2-way middie, but here's another:

Re: Championship — Boston College v. Syracuse
Am afraid this one's over, too many horses out for Cuse at this point, Emma going out was the final straw.
Have thought for most of the last three quarters of the season BC is going to be the team to beat. Lot of
grit and a lot of talent (yes, Belle Smith is a very smooth and talented player...very, very good). All over but
the shouting, BC is going to run away with it. Tremendous season for the Cuse gals but those two T Award
candidates being absent has finally caught up to them. Oh, and North is the best in the game...discussion over.

They never call a cross check to the back a yellow? I see that all the time. I think that’s a correct call. It is very dangerous.
Edit to clarify. I don’t see all crosschecks to the back carded, but some number are.
